Have You Seen My Sock?

Charlie and I would like to share a new children’s book with you Have You Seen My Sock?: by Colombe Linotte (Author), Claudia Bielinsky (Illustrator from Twirl Books (ChronicleKids.com0 in exchange for this review.

I love books that feature Animals and as soon as I saw the Tigger on the cover of Have You Seen My Sock? knew Charlie and David would want to read the book. I wasn’t wrong. Although we did have fun discussing the Tigger with her flowery socks on with the pinkish ribbon and can you believe I would like to have a pair as soon as possible.

Charlie also was surprised to see the Tigger had a headband on and made Charlie want to create one in our Home Economics sewing class. If you know how to sew and have a sewing machine would you like to help Charlie and I create a headband for both of us? The funny part is David said depending on what material we choose he might like a headband as well.

There was an Elephant in the book who lost a sock and as big as his foot is it shouldn’t be too hard to find should it? The Sebra decided to gripe because he also lost a sock. Man oh, man where are all the socks going? Although I must say in our home socks disappear a lot of the time as well. How about in your home?

Charlie liked the Panther and couldn’t wait to draw him in his Homeschool Art Class and also look up facts on Panther’s for our studies on Animals. I know if Suzzane had been here her favorite would have been the Monkey which is here favorite animal. How about a Alligator looking for a orange sock which was David\s favorite.

Now, I am not going to tell you what other animals is inside the book because I want you to check out Have You Seen My Sock? as soon as possible on your own by visiting your library or bookstore. This is a board book for younger children but with the illustrations and all the animal’s children and adults alike will fall in love with the book.

We all know Back-To-School is around the corner as well as Christmas so if you know of children, I hope you take the time to purchase a copy of Have You Seen My Sock? for them and don’t forget teachers and librarians deserves gifts as well. You must check out the story to see what happened to the socks because I am not going to spoil the story.
