I continue to work on the American Legion Benefit Craft Fair to help raise money for Charity Comfort Warriors. I would like to share the two most asked questions a Event Planner is asked when setting up a event. The first question asked is “have you held this event before and how many people are you expecting.” No, matter how long a Craft Fair has been running the host of the event can not tell you how many people to expect.
We do the best we can to bring in traffic, so all I can say is make sure you invite your friends and family and hand out flyers everywhere you go. The hostess of the event and many people she has helping her will do the same as well as sharing the show on there Social Sites. But it takes a Village to bring traffic to the benefit not, one person.
The second question is “if they are a Handcrafted Vendor– I sell this do you have a lot of Vendors who do the same thing? So if you’re a handcrafted Vendor, we try and have a variety of items for you to shop. Because not everyone is going to like the same things. You do not know who you will meet at any event. So don’t let fear of someone else having something like what you do keep you from attending a show.
Now, I say this because this morning as I was working on the American Legion Benefit Craft Fair I had an email from a Vendor I had been talking to earlier in the week and she wasn’t sure if she should come or not.
We chatted a bit, and I asked to see some of the pictures of the Jewelry she made. All I can say is “OMG” if my mom was here I would be purchasing Jewelry for her. If David’s mom wore necklaces, then I would buy s Necklace set for her as she has quite a few rings she wears and is always looking for new rings to add to her collection.
I can’t wait for you to come out to the American Legion Benefit Craft Fair to raise money for Comfort Warriors and stop by Jewelry by Charlotte Booth and let her know we appreciate her attending the event. If your not local and would like to purchase something from Charlotte Tackett email me at tminfo2012@gmail.com and I will put you in touch with Charlotte.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
