We have 4 dogs and 3 of them belong to Charlie. One of them is mine. My dog is named Sandy a Black and White Rat Terroir. Lucy a Chi-Weenie which was given to us when Charlie was a baby.
I trained Sandy to go outside to the restroom and to walk with me without a leash. She knows not to go out of the yard. I also trained Lucy because Charlie was just a baby when he got her. But Charlie helped me with her. She also knows to go outside and not to leave the yard. But she needs to be trained to walk on a leash because she will run away from you.
Bear is Lucy’s baby and also a Chi-Weenie and she hasn’t been trained other than to go outside to the restroom. If the gate is open she will run out and you have to chase her to get her back inside. She needs to be trained to stay in the yard and to walk on a leash.
Then there is Annie a Boxer/ Germain Shepard I believe but David doesn’t think so. I believe she is only a couple years older but we don’t know because we rescued her from my dads.
She fights with the other dogs at times. But she will not leave the yard and will let us know when she needs to go outside. Annie needs to be trained to walk on a leash.
With Haltom City, offering Free Dog Training classes Charlie could take one dog and I could take one a week. Which would work for his Homeschooling classes.
Then the next week we could take the other two dogs. Unless David is off and he could take one of them for us. Then the following week we could take the ones that needs more training.
Sandy is so old and doesn’t like people that I might not take her because she knows to listen and knows what the word no, means. I could even hear David saying we don’t need to take Lucy but I believe we need to.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
