David and I’ve worked on our Halloween decorations the past couple days. Now that the apartment is decorated Charlie and I will begin working on his Halloween Homeschool Party. I begin putting together a list of things we need to do. Charlie researched Halloween books to read at the party. I couldn’t wait to share a addition to our Halloween Gift Guide 23: Halloween Things to Make and Do: A Halloween Book for Kids by Kate Nolan (Author), Various (Illustrator) which I received in exchange for a review and spot in our Halloween Gift Guide with Charlie.
by Kate Nolan (Author), Various (Illustrator)The funny part is the book came in the day before and Halloween Things to Make and Do: A Halloween Book for Kids was sitting on my desk. David picked up the book and began to browse through the book. David says he here is how you can make Ghost to hang in the Trees. What trees I don’t know because we don’t have any.
But I could teach my nieces and nephews Alexx’s children how to make the Ghost and they could decorate there grandmothers yard. Or I could show my sister Debbie how we used to make Ghost and she could make them with my nephew Jason and my niece Lily to decorate there home with Would you like to create Ghost with us?
Mine only used Toilet Paper but if you use the directions inside the book you will need Aluminum Foil which you can pick up at the Dollar Store allowing your children to go on a Field Trip which is perfect for Charlie and I. While picking up the supplies you need don’t forget to pick up a Felt Pen to use to make the Ghost face.
I like how the book is also a way to keep children busy as they count the dots in the Haunted House. Which can be a Homeschool Math class and Reading Class because the have to read the directions which will tell them what to do. I can’t wait to make a Witch decoration to hang in my office. Would you like to help me?
David and Charlie can’t wait to draw a Bat Jason will love making a Mummy. Lily will enjoy coloring the spooky mansion. Charlie will be able to host a Puppet Show in his Drama Class when he makes the Puppets in the book. Putting on a show at our Halloween Party. Would you like to help Charlie with the show?
There is many more activates in the book to keep you and children busy as they count down to Halloween. This book is for children 3 and up. I can tell you I have children of all ages in my family and there is something for everyone including adults. Halloween Things to Make and Do: A Halloween Book for Kids should be in all school Art Classes and Libraries.
