Welcome to our Halloween Gift Guide 23: The Great Zombie Pumpkin Parade! Written by Robert Burleigh and by Illustrated by Wendell Minor which is our latest addition. I can’t wait to see what Charlie and David think of this new children’s Halloween book my family received a physical copy of in exchange for this review.
Charlie and David have always loved Zombies and I know if they could they would go Zombie hunting which you can count me out of. If I saw a Zombie I would never sleep again. How about you? Although the cover of the book is cute with the Zombies with a Pumpkin head along with the blue background and the Birds.
Join us in The Great Zombie Pumpkin Parade! At the front of the line is Drizzle-Mouthed Dumpkin! What a name that is and I am glad it isn’t mine. How about you? Next is Zipper-Toothed Zlumpkin. If Charlie and David had that name they wouldn’t be able to spell it or even say it. How about you?
Then there is Slime-Faced Sumpkin! Sumpkin isn’t that a crazy last name? Then there is Bubble-Eared Bumpkin. The leaves are swirling and stumbling. Zombies are stumbling left and right. Ahh oh, here come more. I would like to introduce you to Wobble-Grinned Wumpkin and Crush-Headed Cumpkin. Yes, you heard me right Cumpkin.
Here is Jagged-Toothed Ja-tumpkin and Hair-Chinned ha-numpkin who should be friends with David because of his beard he has hair on his chin. Who is the scarcest and who is the strangest? Wait the party isn’t over. Here is Monster-Faced Mrumpkin. Did you see Ghoul-Eyed Grumpkin? People in town are sleeping while the Zombies crawl and creep. Look there is Squishy-Squmpkin and Flat-Faced Fumpkin. Look at the Pumpkins marching by.
Twisty-Tongue Twumpkin says I’m tired. Veiny-Face Vrumpkin says its time for bed. I agree let’s take a nap. The Sky is getting light. I wonder what is going to happen now. Excuse me why I finish reading The Great Zombie Pumpkin Parade! If you want to know what is going to happen then you will need to pick up your own copy of the book.
The Great Zombie Pumpkin Parade! is the perfect Halloween book for children of all ages and adults who like Halloween or Zombies will also enjoy the story. Instead of handing out candy this year pick up copies of the book to hand out to the children in your family and don’t forget to pick up a extra copy to bless your children’s school with.
