The past two months David and I’ve been working on our Home putting up the Fall decorations and decorating for Halloween. I love how excited David gets when we find things at the stores were in or comes up with new ways to decorate. Lile the Decorators Hay he got me at Marshall’s Feed Story.
Last night David let me know we could go to Canton to look for Christmas decorations or wait until December. I choose to wait because tomorrow I need to go to David’s moms to go through her decorations she said I could have. If I am lucky there will be Thanksgiving decorations I need for November. In the meantime her is our home.
Messy I know but this is when we were taking Fall down and beginning to put up Halloween. Look at that man of mine. He even got down on the ground so the Spider Webs he hates would be put out perfectly. Now, you know why I love David and Charlie so much.
I tried to have everything I needed outside and bringing a table out is easier than me getting on the floor. I wanted to surprises David and Charlie. But that wasn’t to be. David heard me and came outside to see what I was doing and started to help. Then comes Charlie who be bopped in and out. While Annie stood at the window and watched us.
I have a question how can I cover up this crack and that spot the next time I decorate without hindering people walking by because it looks so nasty. Although for the Pork I plan on purchasing a inside and outside rug which is supposed to be on sale at Walmart.
There are the cup towels ie tea towels my family has chosen for this year. All the Dog’s are for Charlie especially the Weiner Dogs. Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin was from David and he found it at Burlington in Grapevine Mills, Mall. The Gnomes is for David and came from the Dollar Store.
For those that know me I am not a patient person so I begun to decorate before David finished putting out the Halloween lights and Spider Webs on the trees. Don’t you just love my Halloween Door Mat from Burlington with the Peanuts Gang on it for Charlie.
I found the Door Cover at Dollar General a couple months ago and purchased it and put it inside our Halloween tote. David was so surprised when I showed it to him. Charlie liked knowing it would lite up at night. If only we could turn out porch lite off. So you could see it.
This bush is right outside our door and I need to get fake flowers to put in there to make it look better since we moved the garden to the back porch. On the tree David put Spider Webs and lights. If you look closely you might even see a hand coming out of the tree.
What do you think of the window coverings? if Suzzie was here she wouldn’t go inside or come outside because she was afraid of Clowns which I love just not scary ones like this one which Charlie prefers. As for the black Cat I would like to have him for a pet. I would just need to make sure he doesn’t cross the road in front of David or he wouldn’t go anywhere.
When my mom worked at Luby’s at North Hills Mall on Halloween she dressed up as a witch. I let David know I needed a witch and I found this Witches hat and Cat at Albertson’s on sale and couldn’t pass it up. It should be outside but I always like decorating inside as well so its on our Coffee Table with a orange tablecloth from Dollar Tree and the Gnome David found me at Hobby Lobby also on sale.
My mother in law Sherry purchased me and her these tablecloths from Ross because we love trucks. As for the decorations I went minimal in here because we don’t use the Dining Room that much. Did you know the Skeleton Candle in the middle of the table came from the Dollar Tree and it is a bleeding candle. No, I am not going to lite it to show you. You will have to go purchase your own.
The balcony is outside mine and David’s bedroom so we put up these decoration’s for Charlie since he didn’t want any in his room. The Weiner Dog is in memory of Charlie’s dog Max. At Thanksgiving I can turn him around where you will not see the banner and still use him as a decoration because his hat reminds me of a Pilgrims hat What about you?
That is all folks… How did we do for Halloween 23?
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
