Guess Who’s Joined Our Holiday Gift Guide. Author Suzy Liebermann with Hugo The Happy Starfish and The Real World. I wasn’t sure if Suzy would join us or not. I bite the bullet and emailed her and asked if she would like a spot in this years Holiday Gift Guide because I’ve worked with her in the past.
Charlie and I were excited to share with you Suzy’s books and that she will be joining us. Encase you didn’t know it Suzy writes the “Hugo The Happy Starfish” series of children’s books. Which I think Charlie and I have read most of the series of Hugo The Happy Starfish. But I was surprised when I was speaking to Suzy as she mentioned a new set of books that Charlie and I hadn’t heard of.
So Please be watching as Charlie and I will be sharing all of Suzy’s books with you. As well as have a review for you on the books we have read. Plus I am also excited to announce Suzy will be sending Charlie 2 books for our collection. As Charlie has to read daily for school. So once the books arrive I will be conducting a review for them along with Charlies help. Now you should know that the thoughts in the review will be all mine and my families.
Plus, Suzy has also been kind enough to join us in December in our Huge Giveaway. So Please be watching as Suzy will be giving away 2 Gift Sets of children’s books to 2 lucky winners. So make sure you watch for the Giveaway to begin around Dec 1st as I know your children will enjoy the children’s books Suzy picked out for you just as much as Charlie and I did.
I would like to share with you the first book Charlie and I was able to read from Suzy. The book is Hugo The Real World. And the funny part is as soon as I was granted the link to read it I started to read it out loud as Charlie was in the tub and I couldn’t wait to see what Hugo was up to this time. As I love Hugo the Starfish just as much as Charlie does.
But as I was reading The Real World out loud to myself let me tell you it brought Charlie out of the bathtub. Which was a miracle because if you know Charlie like I do you know nothing will bring Charlie out of the tub ever.
So Charlie and I climbed onto the couch and started to read Hugo The Happy Starfish and The Real World and I could tell Charlie was enjoying Hugo and The Real World as he was quite as a mouse. And wasn’t bouncing up and down like he usually does when we are reading.
Once we finished reading Hugo The Happy Starfish The Real World I asked Charlie what he liked about the book and he said that it had both a Pirate and Starfish in the story. And he liked the ship as well as the question marks.
Then I asked Charlie what he had learned and he says he know understands what curiosity is and how it works. As well as how he should listen to others and that he shouldn’t leave his ears in the van. And should always make sure he has his ears on to listen with especially when adults are speaking to him.
So all in all for Charlie and I Hugo The Happy Starfish The Real World was a huge success and a book that I need to purchase for our library. As well as pick up a copy for my nieces and nephews. As I am sure they would enjoy Hugo The Happy Starfish The Real World just as much as Charlie and I did. And Charlie could read it to them as he is getting better at reading every day. And he could teach his dad to read Hugo The Happy Starfish The Real World as well.
