GRYT Unites 1,000+ Teens from YMCA & Boys and Girls Club to Distribute Handmade Bracelets at Taylor Swift Concerts – A Powerful Campaign for the Greater Good, Met with Overwhelming Support
Committed to t(w)een empowerment, GRYT partners with LA, Orange County non-profits to raise awareness about vital youth mental health issues
NEW YORK, NY – (AUG XX, 2023): The newly launched teen empowerment brand GRYT has developed a hyper-focused thought campaign touching their target demo outside of the typical digital norm. GRYT announces new partnerships with non-profit organizations to promote crucial awareness about teen mental health challenges and raise funds for local outreach efforts. Founded by moms and business partners Caroline Kusnetz and Kathryn Beaton – experts in functional medicine and brand building, respectively – GRYT aims to empower a generation of teens and tweens toward the lifelong healthy habits that develop resilience, self-confidence, and success.
The culture-shifting brand recently partnered with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles and the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana, bringing hundreds of teens together to create exclusive handcrafted bracelets that will help raise awareness for these vital community-based organizations and build awareness about youth mental health.
“GRYT is committed to connecting youth and their families with the resources required to thrive through the difficult tween and teen years,” shares Kusnetz. “This project is a powerful reminder of individual purpose and potential, and it is a fun way for the kids involved to see the value of their creative work come to life.”
GRYT was thrilled and honored to have engaged in a unique collaboration in which over 1,000 kids from the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles and more than 300 kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana joined creative forces for the greater good. GRYT provided materials for each organization to craft bracelets that feature a special bead emblazoned with various empowering phrases – uplifting reminders of their unlimited potential and important role in their community. A limited number of bracelets were handed out at Taylor Swift’s LA-Based concerts.
Since its inception, the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles has been wholeheartedly committed to supporting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility within its larger community. Offering everything from national gym memberships to swim lessons and youth sports, the organization has impacted over nine million low-income families and seniors with food donations, engaged over 47,000 youth in recreation programs, and helped more than 600,000 local Los Angeles citizens discover long-term wellbeing.
“We were honored to have been able to participate in a project with lasting positive effects on local youth while giving our member kids a chance to engage their creativity in service to a greater mission,” says Christopher Jefferson, Senior Vice President of Youth Development for the YMCA of Metro LA.
The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana has proactively tackled some of the area’s most challenging issues since its establishment in 1955. With an array of holistic programs that include academic, recreational, social, and pre-career enrichment, the Club ensures every member is provided a support system through meaningful relationships while serving the whole child and family.
“Supporting youth mental health is one of the most pertinent issues of our time, and we love the idea of building awareness with a meaningful project that shows our kids just how much their combined efforts can accomplish,” says Santa Ana Boys and Girls Club General Manager Reema Mohammad.
Representing values of strength, determination, and courage, GRYT is poised to spark a revolution in youth wellness and self-care with guidance to “power your way into adulthood, one perfectly imperfect step at a time.” With a distinct focus on sustainability – including a rePurpose plastic neutral certification – and plans to achieve B-Corp status, the brand also sets a positive example of next-generation, Earth-first business practices.
