One of the sponsors in this year’s #HGG was Great Pretenders . I am so happy they joined us as they sent me the Reversible Spider/Bat Hood. Charlie used Reversible Spider/Bat Hood for Halloween because they had sent it months ago.
Then Charlie set Reversible Spider/Bat Hood aside and forgot about it. So I went ahead and rewrapped the Reversible Spider/Bat Hood and gave it to Charlie for Christmas.
I thought me might be able to use Reversible Spider/Bat Hood in homeschooling which will lead to Charlie using his imagination. We can create a Comic Book and color the pictures inside the Comic Book book which will be an Art class.
Now here is a fun tidbit for you. Neither Spiderman or Batman sit still so the hood would allow us to get up and exercise which means we would be able to get a PE lesson in and Charlie wouldn’t even realize it. Charlie would just think we were playing a game and having fun while making new memories.
Since Charlie needs to practice his reading, we can look for Comic Books, and regular children’s books with Batman and Spiderman in them and that would be his reading lesson for the day. We can try and get David to read the books with us, as it would help David with his reading as well.
Or we could watch movies and have a Family Movie night which we need to do more of as it allows us to spend time together.
Once the videos are over, we could sit down and discuss what we learned which could lead to more lessons for school. I am sure there are some Board Games with Spiderman, and Batman and we would be able to purchase to play as well.
Which once again would allow us to make new memories and add them to our games we have collected for Family Game Night. Charlie can wear his Reversible Spider/Bat Hood and pretend to be the characters in the games.
I would like to give our Great Pretenders a huge thank you. I hope to be able to work with Great Pretenders in the Future as they have items for boys and girls that can be used in so many ways which would make perfect Gifts for every Holiday including Christmas and Valentines. Great Pretenders can be used in public school as well as homeschooling.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie, and David Cates
