I would like to share unique journals with you called Grandparent’s Journals I received in exchange for a review. I plan on placing these inside my Valentines Day Gift Guide.
As we end a year like no other, and head into a new one full of hope and promise, two new elegant journals offer grandparents a beautiful place to record their thoughts on this remarkable time, as well as their personal stories and memories, for themselves and for generations to come.
Grandmother’s Memories: A Keepsake Journal and Grandfather’s Memories: A Keepsake Journal I wish I had these when my parents were alive so they could share there stories with Charlie as well as my niece Lily and my Nephew Jason.
But that wasn’t the LORD’S will instead I could give Grandfather’s Memories: A Keepsake Journal to David’s parents to fill out for Charlie but honestly I’m not sure they would take the time to do this for Charlie.
I thought about having David fill out the Grandfather’s Memories: A Keepsake Journal for his grandson Elijah. But instead I’m going to keep both journals and were going to use them in our Homeschool Language Arts Class.
Charlie can ask David and I the questions inside the journals and fill them out for any children he has in the future. In the meantime this will allow Charlie to get to know us a little bit better.
As well as allow David and I to learn more about each other. As were filling in the journals with Charlie we can ask him questions about himself and his hopes and dreams for his life.
The journals are Pocket Size which will allow us to tuck them into a pocket, lunch kit or into a desk drawer to fill out when we have a free minute or two.
David said he wouldn’t mind keeping his journal in the car glove compartment to work on during breaks at work. Or when were out waiting for our reservations at a restaurant or a appointment somewhere.
I like to do a Motivational Quote on Sundays and the journals are full of Inspiring Quotes and Illustrations and Reflections from writers and thinkers on family and parenting and hand-drawn illustrations which create a beautiful setting for recording thoughts and memories.
I can’t wait to share these with my readers and for Charlie to look up where the quotes come from and to draw what he thinks they mean in our Homeschool Art Class.
The books come with a Ribbon Marker so we will always know were we stopped at in the book. Because we all might be using the same book I will get two more ribbons in different colors and add our name to them so everyone knows were they are in the journals at all times.
I can’t wait to let Charlie’s teacher know about the Family Tree as Charlie is studying Genealogy in school and this will allow Charlie a place to write down what he learns.
If we get stuck working in the book there is guided prompts for us to use which I am sure we can use in our Creative Writing Class which Charlie is also taking.
I like how there is a space to leave a note for our grandchildren because if David and I aren’t here when there born it will give us a chance to let them know how much we loved them and how proud of there dad we are.
