GourmetGiftBaskets.com Octoberfest

Review

Inside the Fall Seasonal Beer Basket David and I received from GourmetGiftBaskets.com at Christmas was a beer called Octoberfest, and as soon as I saw the name I knew it would be a beer David would enjoy. David loves attending Octoberfest events in our area, and so does Charlie and I.

David loves Dark Beer, and he said this had a full-bodied taste and it reminded him of Germany. All he needed to make this the perfect beer was a Stein to drink this new beer through. Which lets me know what he would like for Fathers Day. Now Charlie and I need to go shopping and find one for David.

For me, I loved the label on the bottle as it is a cute design and I like the light blue and orange color as it is festive. It reminds me of dance. I would purchase this new beer to serve at our Summer Gatherings as well as to give as Gifts to my friends who drink. I think it would make the perfect addition to a man’s poker night. I could see it at a Girls Night out as well.

I love knowing I can purchase it in a six pack or as a Stand Alone Bottle. I can’t wait to visit our favorite restaurant and see if they carry this beer and if not I want to ask them if they could stock it as I know everyone who tries it would like it as much as David did. Octoberfest is one beer you will find in our refrigerator at all times.

SEASONAL / OKTOBERFEST INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION

The OCB Crew is stoked to bring you on a transcontinental trip through friendship and fermentation. Created in collaboration with our buds at Camba Bavaria, this Oktoberfest lager inspired by Germany’s annual seasonal celebration.

Located just outside Munich, Camba Bavaria is the pilot brewing component of brewing plant manufacturer BrauKon, who we first met in 2016 when we added one of their state-of-the-art, 120-barrel systems to our Middlebury digs.

Inspired by the classic style, Oktoberfest features German malts and a healthy dose of traditional German noble hops to build a recipe combining a toasty malt presence with the doughy, earthy aromatics of late-addition hops.

Look for this festive treat in a Mixed Bag variety pack near you, or catch it in standalone 6-packs and 12-packs of 12oz. Bottles as summer winds down. Raise a stein and take the transcontinental trip with us!

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
