David and I have concluded that even though renting my computer in some ways is smart and we would like to keep doing it. In other ways, we know if we quit we can use the money for other things we would want to do. I let David know I would like to look for a computer for both Charlie and me. One of the ones I plan on looking into is the Google Pixelbook.
Charlie is only 10, and I wouldn’t think he needs his computer although with us homeschooling Charlie it would be smarter to pay cash and purchase two networks this week. When David is off, we will be visiting Best Buy to see which computers they have. I know, I would like to get the Pixelbook for me if we can afford it.
If you haven’t heard of Pixelbook, you can check it out here.
Meet Pixelbook — the new high-performance Chromebook — and Pixelbook Pen1 — the smart, responsive stylus — designed to enhance the way you work and play. It’s the first laptop with the Google Assistant built in2, so you’ll be able to get more done faster and smarter. From its ultra-thin design to its collection of apps, Pixelbook is beautifully versatile and effortlessly adapts to your lifestyle. Knowing this new device is powered by Chrome means I will always have the latest security and software features.
One of the features I like is knowing at just 10.3mm, Pixelbook is Google’s thinnest laptop ever, with lightweight aluminum construction that enhances portability. The 360° touchscreen and versatile 4-in-1 design will seamlessly adjust to whatever you’re doing, too. You can sketch or edit photos, stay productive with GSuite apps that Drive automatically backs up to your device5, and enjoy on-or-offline access to movies and TV shows with apps like Google Play Movies and YouTube Red.
The second feature I like is knowing it starts up in under ten seconds, stays fast, and has a fast-charging, all-day battery6 that gives you up to ten hours of go from a single charge7. Knowing Pixelbook does this would allow both Charlie and I to get our work done much faster and not have to wait for our computers to boot up.
The third feature I like is knowing there are more Apps for work and play as this would allow Charlie and I to find new and different items to use in our Homeschool class. There is a variety of apps including Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Photos and more than I would have the opportunity to learn how to use in both my business and in Charlie’s classroom. Google Pixlebook would turn me into a more up to date blogger.
Here are 7 Reasons you might like to know before purchasing Google Pixlebook:
1 Pixelbook Pen is sold as a separate accessory, subject to availability.
2 Requires internet connection.
3 Auto-updates and auto-backup require an internet connection.
4 Intel and Intel Core are trademarks of the Intel Corporation in the U.S. and/or other countries..
5 500 most recently opened and 500 most recently shared with you. Accessible offline through Drive when enabled in Drive settings.
6 Battery performance is based on a mix of standby, web browsing and other use. Charging time requires a battery to be at least 5% charged, the device to be inactive, and use of the included charger. Actual results may vary.
7 Battery performance is based on a mix of standby, web browsing and other use.
