I know I’ve said this before when making plans always leave time for the LORD because the best laid plans can and will change at the drop of a hat. I was supposed to have had this review done yesterday but due to our Electricity being out in the apartment which could have started a fire we didn’t have internet. I know this can cause problems for our host and the Authors, but this was out of my control, and I would like to apologize as I share my thoughts in this new BLOG/REVIEW tour for Good Gifts by Kyle Hunter. I received a copy of the book for the tour which is scheduled for April 3-5, 2023.
The nice part of no, electricity was the neighbors all meet outside to visit. Allowing us to get to know each other. I meet a couple ladies who love reading as much as I do. I was able to share Good Gifts with them. The ladies all can’t wait to read Good Gifts as well as check out other books written by Kyle Hunter.
My review:
There is so many reasons I enjoyed Good Gifts including the setting which takes place in Pennsylvania. My friend has been struggling with Church like the lady in this book. The next time we have lunch I plan on giving her a copy of Good Gifts which shares Faith, and the meaning of Church Debbie can share with her daughter Karlee because this is a clean romance with nothing Karlee wouldn’t approve. of.
Like my friend Debbie and I meet in High School just as I meet my husband and at times this book brought me back to that time which I enjoyed. Like them I also like in a small town but mine is inside a bigger City which if I could ditch and move to the Country I would in a heartbeat. Throughout the book is romance, and suspense as the character’s trying to decide what to do or how to do something. I love how they always end up talking although at times you will find yourself wondering if they will end up together.
Then you get to the end of the book and don’t want it to end. If you are like me, you will be PRAYING for another book to follow although this story did end and that might not be feasible which will led me to seeking out more books by Kyle Hunt who is an amazing Author which you can tell from this wonderful inspirational romance book.
About:
Nathan Chisholm’s high-pressure job in the big City is interrupted by an inheritance he doesn’t want, a struggling dinner theater. He returns to his hometown of Brenner Falls, Pennsylvania, so he can sell it fast and return to his normal life.
Leah Albright’s plans for her life went up in smoke and she’s forgotten how to dream. Instead, she spends her days at a dull job in Brenner Falls and her evenings with musical instruments and her Cat. As holidays approach, she fakes cheer to stave off her disappointments.
Nathan and Leah rekindle the friendship they had in high school and attraction brews. But Nathan’s leaving town once he sells the theater. And the residents of Brenner Falls, including Leah, don’t want their beloved historic theater sold. And certainly not to the developer who’s been lurking around.
Nathan finds himself trapped by well-meaning decisions and growing feelings for Leah. He may have gone too far to turn back from the risks to his future and his heart.
