Gillmore Girl’s takeover Grandscape in the Colony

I must share a secret with you. A women’ knows she is truly loved when her husband arranges his work scheduled around a event featuring there wives favorite show which he has watched over and over with her. As well as a mom being loved by there child when he says he will come with you even though it means giving up times with his friends he never sees because its your Birthday.

Last Sunday was Gilmore girls Takeover which I had wanted to attend last year but we weren’t able to. This year I planned on going with my family and meeting my best friend and her daughter here but they weren’t able to come. David and I came by ourselves and once David found out its once a year he let me know we would come back next year and let me tell you I can’t wait.

David and I pulled into Grandscape and found parking and walked up to the stores and we found a security guard who showed he were we would need to be. I love how there was a lot of seating including tables in front of Luke’s Dinner. Kids were playing Soccer and families was just chillin out.

David and I walked around and I purchased a slice of Cake to eat while watching Gilmore Girls but I had though Luke’s Dinner was a restaurant we could go and eat in and it wasn’t. Since we hadn’t planned on bidding on the Picnic baskets next time we attend we will bring our own Coffee and Snacks. As well as chairs or blankets to sit on.

Make sure your dressed in your best Gilmore Girls attire as there is plenty of phot opportunities not only for the ladies but men as well. If I can find one I plan on bringing a Coffee Pot and a Coffee Cup for our photo at Luke’s Dinner. All that was missing was the dance studio.

There was a quiz so we could decide who we were most like which I tried to take twice but my phone kept messing up so I gave up which makes me sad because I wanted to know who I am like. The shows began and you could hear everyone singing and repeating there favorite lines to the show.

I love how much David was enjoying the event which I thought might bore him. There was mom’s with daughters and girlfriends and even dads who brought there daughters on there own at the event making it a true family affair. If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend and your a Gilmore Girls’ fan you need to make plans to come.

My family hadn’t ever been to Grandscape but I’ve wanted to come forever. Know that I know Nebraska Furniture Mart is close by we plan on making a trip out here to spend the day and walk around. I can’t wait to have lunch at some of the restaurants as well as take Charlie into some of the places to play games. Would you like to join us?
