Ghee Happy Goddesses: A Little Board Book of Hindu Deities

The Mommies Reviews

Earlier today Charlie and I sat down for our Homeschool Reading Class and we read Ghee Happy Gods: A Little Board Book of Hindu Deities which I had received for a review. Now we would like to show you the second book which features Goddesses that I would like to share with my nieces. The new book is called Ghee Happy Goddesses: A Little Board Book of Hindu Deities and like the first book my family was blessed in receiving a hard-back book for this review and the thought in this review is mine and my families.

Like the first book Charlie and I shared with you the cover is going to capture your attention and keep you busy looking at the shapes and colors the illustrator used as well as the ladies on the cover. Look closely and you will see a musical instrument. I love there hair and the beads in it. I wish I could fix my nieces like there’s and yes, I know Lily would ask for a hat like they have on.

The book features tabs that make opening the book easy and helps you find your place and keeps you from needing a bookmarker. Saving me time because most of the time I can’t find our bookmarkers. How about you? I like how each tab is marked with a different image which Charlie and I had fun discussing. Charlie said you should check out the skeleton, but I think you should check out the bowl with coins in it.

As you read the book you will learn more about the Hindus and goddesses and their amazing powers. Charlie liked the goddess Durga who is the goddess of protection because when he gets scared, she would be there to protect Charlie and his friends and family. Charlie also likes that she carries weapons to protect herself with.

I liked Lakashmi because she is the goddess of wealth which would allow me to help my friends and family who are struggling. Lakashmi has on a pretty orange dress with a lavender sash that I wish I had. Wouln’t you like to have a sash as well? Her Sari is red which is Charlie’s my mom and also my mother n law’ favorite color which would keep them close at hand.

Ghee Happy Goddesses: A Little Board Book of Hindu Deities is a board book for younger children but anyone wanting to learn about Goddesses or Hindus would enjoy the story and learn from it. Making Ghee Happy Goddesses: A Little Board Book of Hindu Deities a perfect addition to any library and school room from tiny toddlers up to Colledge.

A vibrantly illustrated board book inspired by Sanjay Patel’s animated Netflix show, Ghee Happy, featuring Hindu deities as toddlers!

In the world of Sanjay Patel, creator of the Oscar-nominated Pixar short Sanjay’s Super Team, the bold, bright colors of India leap off the page and screen. In his new children’s book, drawn from Indian mythology, you’ll meet the many faces (and arms) of the mighty Hindu goddesses!

With dynamic illustrations and colorful tabs for each goddess, this eye-catching board book introduces the youngest readers to Hindu goddesses Durga, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Ganga, Parvati, and Kali. Get them together, and anything is possible.

INSPIRED BY THE NETFLIX SHOW: The same deities in this book are featured in Sanjay Patel’s Netflix show, which stars the Hindu gods and goddesses as tiny toddlers in preschool!

NOTABLE CREATOR: Patel produced a short based on his life, Sanjay’s Super Team, with Pixar, and Netflix’s Ghee Happy series. His brand, Ghee Happy, has reached an eager audience with books, museum exhibitions, and merchandise. He is also the author of the popular picture book Ramayana, a twenty-first century retelling of a classic 2500-year-old story.

VIBRANT & GIFTABLEGhee Happy Goddesses and companion volume Ghee Happy Gods are perfect for baby showers and first birthdays, as families welcome their own little goddesses and gods to the world and introduce them to the Hindu deities.

DIVERSE CHILDRENS BOOKS: Featuring lovable characters and a light narrative, this book provides a fresh and accessible way for families who practice Hinduism to see themselves and celebrate. It’s also a wonderful resource for Hindu parents, caregivers, and educators to introduce young readers to their own religious beliefs and promote religious literacy for all.

PERFECT FOR LITTLE HANDS: With sturdy tabs, rounded corners, and simple profiles, this book provides a fun approach to learning and identifying each Hindu deity.
