Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1

Review

This is a review for a children’s book called Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1. I was sent a copy of Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1 in exchange for a review.

Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1 is perfect not only for boys and girls but adults as well!!! I would like to let you know this children’s book features Halloween and for those that do not celebrate Halloween may not want to read Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1.

Charlie has been struggling with his reading this year so finding books, he will try and read can be very hard. When I saw Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1, I thought Charlie might read this novel with me.

Charlie enjoyed the story line because it features Halloween and Charlie told me Halloween is his favorite Holiday. I also would like to let you know David enjoys Halloween, as well.

I knew both David and Charlie would read Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1 with me, although I might have to help them becaus they may struggle while reading the novel.

Struggling while reading  is fine because this would allow us to create new memories and spend together as a family with no, electronics. Which I like because Charlie gets obsessed with his games and spends to much time on them.

Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1 keeps you on the edge of your seat. All three of us like books that contain suspense like Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1 does.

I had never read Jason Thibeault books before, but since I have read  Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1 I’mm going to look for more of his children’s books to give Charlie for Christmas.

Overview:

On an otherwise typical 4th-grade school field trip to the Kartchner Caverns in Arizona, Rebecca gets separated from her classmates while trying to find the bathroom.

But when she slips in the dark and falls in a hole, she ends up in the land of here, an enchanted kingdom that is suffering from a powerful curse…everyday is Halloween.

But it’s not costumed trick-or-treaters that roam the earth nor is it candy they want. Ghosts, ghouls, werewolves, skeletons and a host of other baddies, eager for a taste of warm flesh, have turned the once beautiful land into a spooky landscape.

Unfortunately, Rebecca’s problems have only just begun for when she landed in here she also fell on Gertrude, the kingdom’s witch, breaking her wand and the one chance to lift the curse.

Now Rebecca must get Gertrude’s wand fixed, avoid getting eaten (or worse), and find a way home all before the sun sets. Because here needs a real name or it, and everything inside, will cease to exist forever. If your kids love Goosebumps, the Wayside Schools, and Dragon Slayer Academy, they are sure to enjoy Gertrude’s Broken Wand: Marmalade Book #1.
