From Mom to CEO: Amber Jayne’s Journey in Early Childhood Education

The Mommies Reviews

By: Amber Jayne

When I first became a mom, I imagined staying at home with my baby. I loved my son dearly, but after he turned four months old, I started to feel like I wanted something more to do. That’s when I got an idea: why not start a preschool in my own house?

I sat down at our dining table and did some calculations. My husband and I decided to borrow money to build a classroom next to our living room. That’s how the Loving Start Learning Center began. At first, I had four kids in my preschool, but within six months, I had 48 students and two employees. At 23 years old, and with my second child on the way, I started calling myself a mom turned CEO.

As I balanced being a mom to what soon became four kids, I also figured out how to expand my preschools. For nine years, everything ran smoothly in my home, but I began to notice it was time for a bigger building for the preschool. I went on to open eight more schools, and I am incredibly grateful for the chance to help my community and to support my family financially.

Now, I’m thrilled to announce that we are preparing to franchise our schools nationwide. I’m passionate about coaching others who work with young children to be the best they can be, and I want to help them achieve the life they’ve always dreamed of.

Starting the Loving Start Learning Center has been a journey full of both challenges and rewards. I’ve learned so much about running a business and caring for children and cannot wait to see what the future holds as we take our schools across the country!
