I would like to share a new children’s self-help book Freeda The Frog Gets Divorce written by Nadine Haruni and I received a copy of the PDF copy in exchange for this review.
I am proud to say neither of my children had to go through a divorce “THANK THE LORD” although David’s children did when they were younger. I wish we had known about Freeda The Frog Gets Divorce which might have helped them copy and shown them positive ways to deal with their grief. I hate to admit it the divorce caused David to lose contact with his oldest daughter Ashley.
David’s son Travis started taking drugs at 12 and ended up in Prison. Thank the Lord he is out and has turned his life around. While David’s youngest daughter turned out fine and is married, she stays on her own a lot of the time. Because of this David doesn’t see his grandchild they way he would like to.
I would like to keep other families from dealing with these problems and I know that if parents sit down and read Freeda The Frog Gets Divorce to their children and discuss what they read that not only will the children be better off so will the parents. Charlie loved how the story reminds you to reach out to your family and friends and that you shouldn’t hide your feelings and that its okay to talk about what you’re going through.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to read Freeda The Frog Gets Divorce I hope you do soon. Don’t forget Valentines is right around the corner. Freeda The Frog Gets Divorce would make the perfect Valentines Day Gift for every child you know. This book should be in school and Churches as well as counselors’ offices.
