I had forgotten Friday was Juneteenth instead of rushing around to find content for Charlie to study I plan on using resources from Kids Discover. I thought you might want to check this resource out as well.
What is Juneteenth
Juneteenth is an unofficial American holiday celebrated annually on the 19th of June in the United States to commemorate Union army general Gordon Granger’s reading of federal orders in the city of Galveston, Texas, on 19 June 1865, proclaiming that all enslaved persons in the U.S. state of Texas were now free.
