The Mommies Reviews

Welcome to our series sharing National Pumpkin Spice Day. Everyone in the world including Charlie and my mother in law Sherry loves Pumpkin Spice. As well as David. While I will tolerate it in Air Freshener but other than that I am not a fan of Pumpkin Spice. Are you?

National Pumpkin Spice Day

I have a question for you. What do Cinnamon, Ginger, Cloves, Allspice, Nutmeg, and October 1st have in common? They’re part of National Pumpkin Spice Day. #NationalPumpkinSpiceDay

We divide the world into factions. Left vs. right. But if you really want to turn a conversation on its head, divide the room into Pumpkin spice vs. anti-Pumpkin Spice.

When school starts which some of them start in early August, Pumpkin Spice lovers begin talking about Fall and their favorite flavor. This isn’t all on the shoulders of the Pumpkin Spice lover, though. Coffee Shops, Bakeries, and stores on every corner begin selling Pumpkin Spice merchandise.
Pumpkin Spice ushers in the savory-sweet Season of Autumn like no other Spice does. Pumpkin Spice conjures up images of Fall foliage littering paths on a cool morning. Pumpkin Spice isn’t just a flavor. It’s a personal style. The burnt umber, harvest gold, and Cinnamon Toast shows up on home décor, apparel, and even decorations at parties and Weddings.

When you boil it down, though, Pumpkin Spice comprises wholesome ingredients that remind us of a warm hearth and the bounty of the Harvest.

World Vegetarian Day

I have a question for you. Did you know that approximately 10% of the world’s population is Vegetarian? India has the lowest per capita Meat consumption in the world? On October 1st, we celebrate the benefits of being a Vegetarian and admit that the Meatless lifestyle can actually be delicious. Get out the Carrot Sticks, Tofu, Cheese Pizza, Veggie Burgers, and other Meat-free delights, today because it’s World Vegetarian Day!

World Vegetarian Day Activities

  1. Even if you’re not a Vegetarian, we would like to ask you to become one for a day. Bring Vegetarian food to share with your family. Don’t want to put in any extra effort? Purchase a ready-made Veggie Tray.
  2. Are you the type of person who skips over the Vegetarian section of the menu without a glance? Today, take the opportunity to explore the Veggie offerings, and opt for a Meatless meal. Maybe it’ll be more delicious Steak.
  3. Some of the freshest and most delicious Vegetables and Fruits can be found at your local Farmer’s Market. With Fall in the air, you’re sure to find a diverse offering of Meatless foods to appeal to any taste or mood (including Pumpkin!).

Why PEOPLE Love World Vegetarian Day

  1. Going Meatless not only spares Animals it also conserves fossil fuel. Did you know it takes 78 calories of fossil fuel to churn out 1 calorie of Beef, but just 1 calorie of fossil fuel to produce 1 calorie of Soybeans? That’s 780% more efficient than Meat production!
  2. Vegetarian diets typically involve consuming lots of the good stuff you can’t always find in Meat: Including Fiber, Folic Acid, Vitamins C and E, Magnesium, Unsaturated Fat, and tons of Phytochemicals. That translates into Lower Cholesterol, reduced risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, and a healthier weight.
  3. Meatless diets get a bad rap for being bland and tasteless. Which isn’t always true. Almost any Vegetable can be turned into scrumptious Veggie-based Pancakes. Pizza (as long as it doesn’t contain Sausage) is totally still an option. Ice Cream is good to go.
