I don’t know about you and your family, but I would be lost without Frozen Food which makes cooking a lot easier at times. In our Home you will always find Frozen Pizza and some kind of French Fries or Tater Tots and Corny Dogs and most of the time Fish Sticks. What about in your home is a Frozen Dish you would be lost without and and why?
National Frozen Food Month
Fast, easy, and delicious, frozen foods are a staple of life’s ever-increasing pace. Since first created in 1953 by C.A. Swanson & Sons, the frozen TV dinner has made the end of the day easier for families by offering a comfort after a chaotic day of activity. Let’s celebrate National Frozen Food Month in March by taking a break from all the shopping, and work that go into cooking, and treat yourself to Frozen Foods.
NATIONAL FROZEN FOOD MONTH ACTIVITIES
- Host a get together with families and invite everyone to bring their own frozen dish. See what everyone has been keeping safe for a rainy day and share hidden goodies while spending more time socializing with a Cocktail instead of spending all your time in the kitchen.
- I challenge you to see if you can go the entire month of March without any cooking. Having minimal cleanup, and extra time added to each day by only preparing Frozen Foods. I
- Most people tend to “save” their frozen meals for when they really need them. Try planning ahead and pick an evening designated for a frozen dinner. My family does a Appetizer Movie night and everyone picks out one Frozen Foods we would find at favorite restaurant in the frozen foods section and fix it and share everything Family-Style.
WHY PEOPLE LOVE NATIONAL FROZEN FOOD MONTH
- According to The Food and Drug Administration, frozen foods are safe to eat indefinitely, and the FDA says that though the taste value may diminish some, the food will remain safe to eat forever.
- Fresh fruits and Vegetables, as well as lean Meats and Whole Grains, maintain their nutrition for long periods of time when frozen. While many people may think “quick and easy” translates to “unhealthy,” frozen foods are like any other meal – but you can turn frozen food healthy when you read the labels.
- Easy trick: buy Seasonal foods at the end of their Season and freeze them. Then when their Season comes around and prices go up, you already have these foods at your fingertips.
