Good evening, how are you? Here is our series featuring Food Holidays: March 15th, 2022. Today is National Peanut Lovers Day I wish I had known about this sooner as I would have take Charlie and David to lunch at Logan’s and we could have gotten there Free Peanuts to celebrate today with. Since I didn’t know we may be a day late but with him being off tomorrow I think I will pick David up some Peanuts at the Store for his snack and if I can I may snag some of them and make Peanut Butter Cookies. Would you like to help me make Cookies?
- Nuts are most healthy in their raw form and the reason is that over 15% of the healthy Oils are lost in the roasting process of Peanuts.
- Studies show that people who eat Nuts regularly live 2-3 years longer than those who don’t. Looks like I need to run to the Grocery Store and pick up Nuts. Should I get some for you?
- The nut allergy is among the most common food allergies.
- Did you know Roasted Nutshells were used as a Coffee substitute during the Civil War?
- Half of the world’s nuts are inedible or poisonous to humans.
Peanut Butter is a perfect food, and on March 1st, we honor that perfection with National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day. Peanut Butter’s superb performance as a food comes from its versatility: Peanut Butter can be crunchy or Peanut Butter can be smooth. Peanut Butter is healthy, but it’s also indulgent. Peanut Butter can go sweet but can be savory. We like Peanut Butter for every meal. From Peanut Butter Toast for breakfast, Peanut Butter Sandwiches for lunch, and Peanut Sauce for dinner, then for dessert how about Peanut Butter Cookies? Don’t forget Dogs also love Peanut Butter even more than we do.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
