Food Holidays: April 4th

The Mommies Reviews

Good morning, welcome to our series sharing Food Holidays: April 4th. This morning it’s National Cordon Bleu Day. As a child I remember the first time I had ever eaten Cordon Blue.

It was during the Summer and I was hanging out at my best friend Tina’s home. Like Charlie my best friend lived next door to us. We were always in there home or they were in ours. I sure miss those days.

At lunch time Tina’s older sister Tanya made lunch for us. She fixed Cordon Blue and served it with Cheetos and Grape Kool-Aid. Weren’t we fancy? LOL Did I like Cordon Blue not really and I haven’t eaten it since.

As for Charlie he hasn’t ever had it either and I am not sure if David has had Cordon Blue or not. But knowing his parents I wouldn’t think he has had it. But I might make it for Charlie and David because I think they would like Cordon Blue.

Celebrated every year on April 4th and is the pinnacle for carrot lovers all around the world. This is the day when the carrot is celebrated through carrot parties and other carrot related festivities.

Our family each has our favorite way to eat Carrots. I like the Cooked and hate Raw Carrots. David will eat Cooked Carrots but prefers them Raw. Charlie only wants Raw Carrots he can dip in Ranch Dip and prefers small Carrots.

Do you like Carrots and if so how do you like to have them prepared? Or do you prefer Raw Carrots?

Sounds like its time for a Pot Roast with Carrots, Potato and Onions…

Thank you,
