This morning I decided for the first time ever I wanted to join in a new event called Five Minute Friday. So I read through some of the post and I learned today’s word is try.
As I sat down to work I tried to turn on my computer only it wouldn’t come on. So I sat at my desk to think about what I should do as David was due at work.
As I sat here at my desk Charlie came in and asked me to go back and lay down with him. With school starting soon I knew I needed to take this time while I had it.
I let Charlie know I wouldn’t be able to sleep but I would lay with him. As I put my head down on the pillow and Charlie grabbed my hand I could feel all the stress and worries I had vanish.
I closed my eyes and tried to go to sleep which I did as I woke up a hour later refreshed and knew I was ready to try to work on the blog again. I went and got out my old computer and sat down to write this post.
Just as I was finishing it I hit a button and the post completely disappeared I just say here and looked at the computer and asked myself why. As I did I heard God saying to me trying is always good but forcing ourselves to do something isn’t what we need to do.
So no matter what happens today I am just going to try and take it in stride and to not stress. As my family needs me and I need to take time to breath and to move forward in my own time.
So here is a little bit about what 5 Minute Friday is encase you want to join us in this new event. Because if God is willing I want to take place in it each week as it teaches us it is okay to make mistakes as we are all human.

Basically we write like crazy for five minutes flat, then strap on our brave and share our frantic ramblings with the world. Sounds like fun, right? Right?
