This one is quite simple. Use a weight plate while working on your abs. Perform this exercise holding the plat to your chest or above your head while rising into crunch mode. This will have a more intense effect on your core.

Decline crunch.

You may have already heard of this one, but unless you have tried it, you have no idea how efficient it is. Lying down on a declining slope creates more resistance and allows more pressure on your core. Just be sure not to touch your shoulder all the way on the slop each time, and you will be good to go.

Swiss ball crunch

This is simple too. Balance yourself in a relaxed crunch position on a Swiss ball. This will contract your ab muscles from all angles since you will have to balance yourself and at the same time pull your upper body up into a complete crunch position.  

Cable crunch

You need to be at the gym for this one! Unless of course, you have a weighted cable machine at home. It will give you some deep ab work. Do this under strict supervision, or you might end up injuring your neck.  

Oblique crunch

This is very important for your oblique muscles. Oblique crunches are the sworn enemy of love handles and lat-fat. Always switch sides after 10 or 12 reps.
