Charlie, David and I were invited to a Promo Screening of Five Feet Apart at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lake Highlands. On Thursday evening. I was so excited to attend the Promo Screening because I had been waiting for months and months to watch Five Feet Apart.
I had a list of people I wanted to ask to come see
Five Feet Apart with me at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lake Highlands. Because I knew Five Feet Apart would be a movie I wanted to watch a second time if not more. I brought David and Charlie with me last night so we could spend time as a family.
I am sure once Five Feet Apart at comes to DVD I will be purchasing this movie and the novel Five Feet Apart to give as Gifts. Along with a copy for our Home Library even before I saw Five Feet Apart in the Cinema from the trailers we had seen.
What surprised me the most was Charlie wanted to see Five Feet Apart and asked if we would be attending the movie on opening night. I let Charlie know we were going to a Promo Screening for Five Feet Apart.
I let Charlie know he went and told David. I was surprised when I heard David say he was glad to know we were attending the Promo Screening and that he was excited to see Five Feet Apart.
Once the film concluded David let Charlie and I know he wanted to learn more about CF and what happened to the couple in the movie. Being a Romance movie or at least this is how I thought of Five Feet Apart I was amazed my men were so excited to see Five Feet Apart because it shows they have compassion and care about others.
As you can see here Five Feet Apart is for families of all ages. Everyone who watches Five Feet Apart will learn so much including to not take the ones we love for granted.
As Five Feet Apart ended Charlie let me know the film reminded Charlie of A Walk To Remember with Mandy Moore. I agreed with Charlie that in a lot of ways Five Feet Apart had a lot in common with A Walk To Remember.
I loved how Charlie is wanting to learn more about CF and how he can help other people suffering. Charlie and I have decided to contact local hospitals to see what patients might want or need that we can bring them.
Charlie also let me know we could create a Homeschooling lesson plan on CF. Then if we meet someone we would know more about CF and be able to talk to them and help them with there feelings.
Five Feet Apart ended I had laughed, cried and was even in suspense at times. I couldn’t wait to get home and to start reading the novel Five Feet Apart we received and for Charlie to hang our posters in my office.
Charlie has his Five Feet Apart tote bag packed to take to my sister with his copy of Five Feet Apart because her Birthday is coming up soon and he wants to take her to see Five Feet Apart and he knows his Aunt Debbie will enjoy the book and use the Tote Bag at work.
This was the first time our family had visited Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lake Highlands to watch a movie. Although it will not be out last time because we enjoyed the ambiance and that they a kids club.
Charlie liked the Bar in back where you could sit outside and watch people walking down the bike path. David enjoyed having a drink at the bar and just relaxing before our movie began.
For me I can’t wait to return to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lake Highlands to watch the classic movies they show. As well as to try out some of the refreshments they serve including a Milk Shake.
Charlie ordered Gummy Bears which arrived in a Chinese Takeout Container. I ordered popcorn and it was served in a metal bowl seeing our refreshments apart from any other theater.
I loved knowing the Soda we ordered came with unlimited refills and that we didn’t have to wait in line to order refreshments because the servers come to our seats and wait on us.
The film, produced and directed by filmmaker and Jane the Virgin star Justin Baldoni, is about a teenage cystic fibrosis patient Stella Grant (Haley Lu Richardson) whose world is turned upside down when she meets an impossibly charming fellow patient named Will Newman (Cole Sprouse). Their instant chemistry is put to the test when they learn they can’t safely go within five feet of each other. Stella gradually inspires Will to live life to the fullest, but can she ultimately save the person she loves when even a single touch is off limits? Movie buffs can find out at The Rose Table FIVE FEETAPART Screening.
