Yes, it’s April, where is time going? Before we know it its going to be April Fools day. Oh, Lord poor me that is going to be a not so fun day as I am trying to Homeschooling Charlie and his best friend Bradley. I wonder what they have in store for the teacher.
On top of that its time for the Ultimate Blog Challenge which you would think would keep me busy. But Homeschooling and the UBC wasn’t as I also joined Blogging from A to Z another challenge.
I had said I would prepare and have both challenges ready and in drafts but I didn’t do that. As usual I didn’t follow through and the goals set for myself but that is okay because I just have to believe it wasn’t meant to be.
My sister is blogging as well now and I wanted to help her be prepared as well and I didn’t even get that done. But you know what I could stress and beat myself up but I am not just like the Little Engine who could I can and will get both challenges done for me and help Debbie out when I can.
For this mornings prompt we was to we was give several prompts t chose from and I picked this one out: The first quarter of the year just ended – share what you accomplished or what memories you’ll hold on to.
I will never forget the Self Isolation and being inside for days at a time and getting to know my family better. Charlie is 12 and being with him 24 hours a day has been challenging at times but we have gotten closer which I am excited about.
David, and I have spent plenty of one on one time and gone on lots of walks in the neighborhood. We organized and cleaned out rooms. Helped Charlie build a Clubhouse and just sat and watched movies.
We have cooked more meals at home that we did in the past 2 years allowing us to save money for a Vacation we have always wanted to go one with Charlie.
The Blog events have come to a halt but that hasn’t stopped me from working and I am even getting Sponsored Post. I may not have had as many events as I wanted or made as much money as I wanted but it’s okay because that wasn’t the Lords will and we needed this time thereto as a family.
If Charlie doesn’t Homeschooling next year at least I was blessed to be home with him this year and learn about his dreams and what he wants o do in the future. I found out I can blog full time and make a income and that I still have time for David and I do love him an no, matter what I will fight for my family.

Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
It’s great that you made the most of this time and consciously worked to connect more with your husband and son.
haaa, today IS April Fool’s Day.
Glenda, you are doing great. You’ve had a few newbies that you’ve taken under your wing and I want you to know – -YOU ROCK!
I’m glad you and the family have gotten a few things are done that have been on the back burner now that everyone is homebound. Family time is awesome and making new memories can be just as fun.
You should have C and his friend come up with a talent show of some kind for you and David to enjoy one evening!
I know times are a bit scary; but it has definitely been great to spend the extra time with our spouses and children! We already cooked at home a lot but we’re also able to put more into savings by not eating out and spending frivolously. Glad to see you be a part of the UBC this time around. I have yet to finish a full 30 days but someday, we’ll get there.
My gosh, you are busy but that’s a good thing! Tell C I said hi and hope he’s learning a lot through home schooling!
I will tell him and I pray he is learning a lot. But sometimes
I wonder if I am hindering C.
I hope he is
I am also doing both challenges this month! 🙂
It’s nice to meet someone else who is doing both challenges.
