I would like to share the second book in the series Drunk Log which is First Date (A Day in the Life) by Mark E. Scott (Author) which I received for this review. You can also find my review for Drunk Log.
First Date (A Day in the Life) is the second book from Mark E. Scott who brought us back to the survival of Jack and Aria’s plunge into the icy Ohio River. This book brings un back to the next 8 hours of Jacks life bringing us back to Jack and Aria’s saga which is still set in Cincinnati, but centers on its unlikely couple. Jack and Aria, who now must face adventures in exciting locales like a stinky riverbed, the back of a police car, an ambulance and a hospital. Very funny and also deeply touching, “First Date” is an excellent follow up to “Drunk Log.”
This book is for adults although it could be read by young people in high school or higher because there is a lot of things young people would be able to relate to. I can’t wait to see if the Author writes a 3 book in the series sharing more of jack and Aria’s life and the things they face as both a couple and as single individuals.

First Date, Book Two, the continuation of Drunk Log: It was a dark and snowy night, and Jack and Aria should have been dead. Instead, they find themselves shivering on a riverbank, having survived a fall from the bridge into the currents and debris of the Ohio River. First Date is a story of individuals haunted by suicide, remorse and unanswered questions: questions whose answers are not to be found in the bottom of a bottle. Secrets are revealed and souls are bared, but answers are still elusive. For now, they only have each other, a notebook and a teddy bear.
About the author: Mark E. Scott
Born in the small manufacturing town of Galion, Ohio, Mark E. Scott lived in various burgs in Ohio and Michigan before joining the Navy, thence spending four years traveling the world aboard the USS Mount Whitney. Upon returning home to southwest Ohio, he enrolled at Miami University and completed a degree in Education, only to become a banker soon thereafter. Mark now lives happily in a condo in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati. In his free time Mark enjoys writing, finding new and creative ways of tricking his children into answering their phones, and anything related to travel and outdoors, including tumbling down snow covered mountains whilst dragging otherwise perfectly good skis behind him.
