Finding items Charlie wanted for Christmas was hard!!

Finding items Charlie wanted for Christmas was hard!!

But what I can tell you is that God was listening to me the other day when I went to Targets. As Charlie had asked for the Board Game Googly Eyes and I wanted to pick it up for him. With the money my dad sent us. Because Targets or Toy’s R Us didn’t carry Googly Eyes as I looked online and also in the stores when I was in them.

So David and I went to Targets and I walked the toy aisle a couple times looking for Googly Eyes and I couldn’t find it. And neither could David as he helped me look. So finally I found a employee and he looked online for it and they showed they had one. So he started to search for a tag and couldn’t find Googly Eyes on the shelves.

So I let him know it was fine I would just purchase Googly Eyes after Christmas and pick up something different for Charlie. And then low and behold as I start to walk off I look on the shelf one more time and low and behold there was Googly Eyes. And it wasn’t there before. So I know this was truly a God moment and his sister Suzzane looking out for Charlie.

So on Christmas Day Charlie had so much fun opening it and playing Googly Eyes with Debbie, David and I that it made all the trouble we had finding it worth it  in so many ways. And if you ask me if I would do it again the answer is yes, yes, yes.

Now if you haven’t heard of Googly Eyes it is ” the family game of wacky vision”.  Googly Eyes is for children 7+ and Charlie just turned 8 on the 16th of December so the perfect age for Goggly Eyes.

Now let me give you a little tip if you are not good at drawing you might want to take a Art class as none of us are good at it so our drawing out the clues stunk and we kept failing at guessing what the others was drawing. But we did end up laughing a lot and creating some new memories.

There is one set of glasses with three different sets of lenses and they go from easy to hard. So I know we can’t chose which ones we get to wear but if we could I would stick to the easy ones as they weren’t as hard to use to draw with.

Googly Eyes is great for families who are Homeschooling their children as you can use it for counting which is good for math. Drawing which is art. Reading the cards which is great for reading. And language arts as the cards come in objects, places and entertainment. Which means you can discuss why they would belong in those categories.

So with Googly Eyes I know it will help Charlie out with his ADHD as we will need to sit still and focus and concentrate. And it works on a timer so it means Charlie will really have to sit still and pay attention or the time will run out and he would lose. Which is great as we have trouble keeping him in his seat.

So if you have a Family Game Night in your home or your children are homeschooled them I would like to recommend you pick up Googly Eyes and start to create some new memories with your children just as we are doing with Charlie.

Googly Eyes is the hilarious family game that challenges your vision and leaves you googling for more! Put on the zany, vision-altering google eye glasses and start to draw while your team tries to guess what you’re drawing. Is that an igloo or a turtle? A birthday cake or a fortress? Players take turns drawing and guessing, so everyone gets a chance to wear the glasses. The glasses come with three sets of lenses that range from mild changes to mind-blowing fun, so no one can see (or draw) straight–your vision will bounce off of the lenses. Googly Eyes is a fun twist on classic drawing games that lets players of different ages and skill levels compete on equal terms, since the goggles make it fun and challenging for everyone. Unlike any other drawing game you don’t need to be an artist, and the rules are simple. Just roll the die and move–the space you land on tells you which color lenses to use (easy, medium, or hard). Then pick a card, set the timer, and start drawing. If your team guesses correctly you get to roll and move again; if not, then you stay where you are on the board. The first team to reach Finish wins. For ages 7 and up. 4-16 players.

So next year when Christmas comes along I hope it is easier finding items Charlie wants for Christmas as this year was hard!!
