Feng Shui Can Help Us Rest Better

I think my house is full of negative vibes as we are always tired and our energy just seems to be zapped. No matter what we do it doesn’t get any better and no, matter how early we go to bed at night we still wake up tired and crabby. This week I will be researching Feng Shui because I have been told Feng Shui can help us rest better

I have been trying to figure out why this is happening and how I can fix these problems and I was talking to a friend who believes in Feng Shui and she was asking me questions about our home. As I answered her questions I noticed a lot of the questions she asked the answers were yes.

After talking to my friend I will be spending this week going through each room in our home and cleaning and decluttering to turn our home into a healthier living environment. Charlie, David and I will be getting rid of furniture we do not need. As the extra furniture is taking up space and ends up with papers piled on top of the surfaces. A lot of  the papers I am not even sure what are or why we have them. It’s time to CLEAN and get ready for Summer!

The first place I will be decluttering is my office because I am tired of always having to work at the kitchen table. Our kitchen and living room are a open concept. The dinning room, kitchen and living room are all one room. Having this open concept can be  distracting. I always end up not being able to finish the things I need to do as I am to distracted to work.

The reason I am so distracted is the TV is on. Or David and Charlie want to talk to me while I am working. Or I notice things I need to do inside the house and I end up stopping my work on the blog to work on things around the house. Which  isn’t fair to the blog or the clients I am working with or even to things I need to do.

With our home being this way our Homeschool Classroom is being affected as well.  A lot of the supplies I need to go through are the ones for Charlie’s school. I need to get the classes and classroom set up and make sure the classroom is clean and not cluttered so it isn’t  distracting to Charlie and I.

I think this is one of the reasons Charlie hasn’t been getting the work completed Charlie needs to do. I would like to share with you new SUBJECT LABELS Ms. Elle has created for our classroom. I can use SUBJECT LABELS in Charlies binders and on shoe boxes to get all of the supplies needed ready for the week. SUBJECT LABELS pack also has SUPPLY LABELS that are going to come in handy!

I believe having the homeschool classroom not finished  is why we aren’t sleeping as well as we should be. Even though I painted my bedroom a nice calming green and David moved the furniture around in the room for me the other day. All three of us have paperwork in the bedroom that shouldn’t be in there. Which keeps us from relaxing and staying focused.

I am ready to turn each room back into what it was supposed to be and to get rid of the items we do not use.  If it helps with the Energy and the negative vibes in our house that will be a true blessing.

To get a idea of how we should set the rooms up I went and visited a website called American Classic Homes where I read more about Feng Shui and the way our home should be set up. If this article had a test to take we would have flunked because most of the things they suggested are things we haven’t done in our home. I hate knowing that because if I had fixed these problems years ago we would have been a happier healthier family.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
