Finally a Holiday I can sink my teeth into falls on February 27. Can you guess what the holiday is? No, you can’t. Then I will tell you it’s National Retro Day #nationalretroday. I don’t know about you but I love retro furniture and phones and cameras and decorating my home with these items like this kitchen table which is like the one my grandmother had growing up and my mother in law and brother in law has for there homes. I’m telling you one day I will have a retro dinning room suit as well. I’m not sure I want red or white I believe I would like Malibu Dinette Set (americanchairs.com) in blue. How about you?
On February 27, National Retro Day takes us back to a time before smartphones and the internet. A time when life seemed simpler and kids would go outside and play for hours on end which never seems to happen now a days. Every generation looks back and asks, “Remember when?” This celebration indulges our love for the good ol’ days while remaining in the present. No matter the decade, today is the day to pick a point in time where people talked more face to face than text to text, had dinner at home around the table and the kids played games that didn’t require internet.
