Genesis Women’s Shelter can us our help even when we don’t have much we can give back. I would like to let you know it doesn’t always have to be money to give back. You can do it with a smile or a kind word.
As the Holidays will be here before we know it I’ve been thinking more and more about how my family can help others. I know God was listening because I was on Facebook.
I know what your going to say which is you was on Facebook again. Can I ask you why would you be on Facebook again because it seems I live on Facebook.
But it was “Gods will” because I found a post written by Sarah Payne who I didn’t know. Also I hadn’t heard of her blog. When I saw a post about a new project she was hosting called “Giving Back With Glow Genesis Women’s Shelter.”
I would like to ask you to take time to read Sarah’s post and see how you can help with “Genesis Women’s Shelter”. Or I would like to ask you to find a Charity you believe in and adopt them and help them out this Holiday Season.
Not only would I like to help out “Genesis Women’s Shelter”, and also The American Legion along with a Senor or a Angel off the Angel Tree in Dallas/ Fort Worth. Or help my friend Elle with the Seniors she is adopting.
I know I’m not rich and can’t help all of these organizations. What I will do is sit down with my friends and family and pick out one program to help. Then we can gather supplies to donate to the charity. If it’s “Gods” will we might be able to help more than one charity.
Now, I have a question for you. Do you help out during the Holiday Season? Is it the only time you help out? Or do you try and do something throughout the year? People can use help all the time. Especially Seniors in Nursing Homes who don’t get visitors?
This is from Sara’s post. As a Blogger I agree with everything Sara’s has written. I Promise to do better in the future. To give to others every month because we shouldn’t wait until Christmas is here to give back.
“Bloggers and social media influencers receive press samples regularly. So, instead of offering some fancy giveaway as a thank you for your support over the last year, I ask that you give back.
No matter your blogger niche, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, etc. we all have stuff we’ll never use past our posts! The best part? This isn’t limited to online influencers, even self-proclaimed product junkies can participate!”
Genesis Women’s Shelter is a Dallas-based organization helping women and children by providing shelter and support from domestic abuse. These families are fleeing unsafe homes and starting over with nothing but the clothes on their back.
For these mothers feeling pampered is a luxury. Feeling beautiful is a second thought, even though they deserve it. I would like to ask you to help me change it by pampering these moms.
I wish I had known about Genesis Women’s Shelter a couple months ago. I cleaned out my closets and I had toys and baby items we wouldn’t ever use.
I did give those items to our neighbors and yes, they were happy to get the gifts. But they could have purchased these items themselves and the ladies at Genesis Women’s Shelter might not be able to purchase these items for there children.
The next time I get a review items or gifts or even products I purchase don’t use I know where they will be going and I hope you will do the same thing with extra items you have.
Genesis Women’s Shelter takes your usual donations like clothing, furniture, toiletries, etc. but they also accept beauty products! If you have opened product from photo shoots, they’ll accept those too, as long as they’re sanitary, i.e. no finger dipping or other means of contamination.
If you wouldn’t use it after a stranger, give it to family or friends. Don’t live in Dallas? That’s cool, you can ship donations directly OR find an organization close to home!
If you decide to share your donations on social media use #givebackglow and encourage others to participate as well. We can build a community by creating awareness and help others together!
All donations can be shipped directly or dropped off at their Lemmon Ave location:

4411 Lemmon Ave Suite 201
