This is a review for Equo who sent me the following products Rice Straws, Dried Grass Straws, Coconut Straws Sugarcane Straws and EQUO Coffee Drinking Straws in exchange for this review.
Children can be so funny especially when you ask them to try something new like a Rice Straw which Chalie was afraid would taste like Rice. But after opening the package and showing Charlie and the Straws and using one myself he decided to try these Straws out as well.
Once Charlie did and saw they didn’t have a taste and wouldn’t disintegrate like Paper Straws do Charlie hasn’t stopped using these Straws and even washes his out to reuse throughout the day saving me time and money from having to keep purchasing Straws which are a staple in our home.
Charlie is taking a Homeschool Cooking Class and when we were preparing Chicken and Rice the other day I took one of the Straws to add to the dish and you would have thought I was killing David and Charlie. Until they saw me eating the dish and that the straw was gone. Now instead of throwing Straws away they wash them and add them to dishes there cooking.
Rice Straws – Made from Rice and Tapioca Starch and available in plant-based, natural colors including White, Green, Pink, Blue, Yellow (After use, these can be cooked down and are fully edible).
The second Straw I shared with Charlie and David. The Dried Glass Straws are made from naturally tube-shaped grass which I thought would turn David and Charlie off, but it didn’t, and they use these more than I do. The Straws are available in green which Charlie and David both liked because it sets them apart from other Straws we have in our home. These Straws are also a natural chew/tug-of-war toy for pets, or we crunch the Straws if fidgety, to get the same satisfaction as popping bubble wrap which we know most people love doing. Yes, before you ask even Charlie and I like popping Bubble Wrap.
Charlie has gotten bad about when finishing a Soda chewing on the Straw which isn’t good for his Teeth but now, we have Straws that are meant for that or for Charlie to use to play with the Dogs with. I just have to make sure all the Straws don’t disappear while Charlie is playing with the Dogs because I like using these with my Iced Tea.
I used these when drinking Iced Tea and the Sweet Aroma was refreshing on a hot day. I like that the Straws are long enough to fit inside my Water Bottle, and they don’t slide down inside my Cup like a lot of Straws do. Charlie likes using these with the Kool-Aid he makes because the sweet aroma keeps Charlie from adding Sugar to the Kool-Aid or Flavored Drinks Charlie makes.
Last but not least we received Coffee Straws and most people don’t use Straws when drinking Coffee or Hot Chocolate, but I always have and now Charlie does as well. These NATURAL STRAWS: are Eco-friendly Straws are made from Coffee grounds. The Straws are tasteless and have the pleasant aroma of freshly brewed Coffee, allowing you to enjoy a scented biodegradable straw without changing the flavor of your beverage.
Charlie and I were excited to find out the Straws don’t become Soggy. These Straws are compost-friendly, biodegradable straws. Toss them in your garden or compost bin after use! Also, unlike plastic drinking straws, our eco-friendly straws contain absolutely no chemicals or toxic materials.
Don’t forget to check out these other products they carry including Utensils, Dishware and Stationery. EQUO products don’t ask you to learn or change your actions or behavior. They are easy, no brainer switches so simple, you may not even notice them – even though Mother Earth does.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
