My family was invited to Epic Waters Indoor WaterPark where we would be able to try out Epic Waves a 10,000 square-foot, 300,000 gallon wave pool in person.
If your like my family and you live in Texas I must tell you Epic Waves has opened just in time for the Summer Heat North Texans face each Summer. Did you know someday’s it’s over 100 degrees here in Fort Worth?
I was able to let Charlie and Bradley enjoy the surf along the pool’s beach entry, while David and I relaxed in the shaded chaise lounge chairs. David and I ventured into Epic Waves at times throughout the day and we would play with the boys.
I didn’t have any fears leaving them outside to play in Epic Waves while David and I went back inside to walk in the Lazy River. I knew the boys would be safe and if anything happened there were Life Guards on hand.
I would have been perfectly content sitting outside all day listening to the Music and watching the Duck dance. Even Charlie and Bradley enjoyed the music.
I needed my mom to teach me how to use the Hula Hoops Charlie wanted me to try out.
I thought the boys would want to try out the Slides and the Boogie Boards or to go inside to the Pool and play Basketball but they didn’t want. They stayed in Epic Waves.
Usually between 2 and 4 hours of being in a Water Park Charlie is tired and ready to go home. This didn’t happen we stayed until Epic Indoor Water Park closed and on the way home the boys asked when we would be able to return to Epic Indoor WaterPark and could they bring a friend.
Can you see the SLIDES? No, I am not brave enough to try them out but David and Charlie are and would live on them if they could. I love in the Lazy River you see here.
I asked Bradley and Charlie why they wanted to return. The boys said they like riding the waves you will find in Epic Waves which are simulated surge of four-foot high waves, which will run for 10 minute intervals throughout the day.
When th waves would began I would get out and watch the boys because I’m only four feet tall and the waves can knock me over unless I use the complimentary innertubes and life jackets.
Boogie Boards anyone? Charlie has done these in the past but I still haven’t gotten up the courage to. But I bet you David will try this one day.
Outside the pool were Hula Hoops and it was fun seeing Charlie and Bradley trying to keep them up. I even tried the Hula Hoops with the boys and no, I couldn’t keep them up but it was a lot of fun trying.
Knowing the Pool will close on Labor Day has allowed David and I plan to a couple more visits when Bradley will be home and able to come with us. I believe the next time we go Bradley’s family may come with us.
In addition to the new wave pool, guests also have a new option this summer in the form of the Epic Combo, a “wet-dry” admission option that provides day-long access to facilities and programming at The Epic, the waterpark’s sister property that is located across the corridor from Epic Waters. The Epic is a 120,000 square-foot fitness, arts, and entertainment destination that opened in November.
Charlie, and I walked over to the Epic and we both Charlie and I feel in love with all the family friendly features things they offer families. I even went back inside Epic Indoor WaterPark and asked David to come to the Epic with me to look around. David said we should join and I can’t wait.
Charlie and Bradley keeping themselves entertained why we wait on David to go inside.
About Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark:
Situated west of Highway 161 between Arkansas Lane and Warrior Trail near the southwest Dallas County-Tarrant County border, Epic Waters is an 80,000-square foot, resort-styled, indoor-outdoor waterpark that offers year-round operations delivered courtesy of an enormous retractable roof and a climate-controlled wintertime interior. The facility is the largest indoor waterpark under a single retractable roof in North America.
I found Superstar Rumble inside the Video Arcade and Charlie wanted to bring the game home with us to show the #Wrestlers we know.
Epic Indoor Waterpark is billed as a “cruise ship on land,”. I would like to let you know the park boasts wet and dry attractions for every member of the family, including 11 waterslides, (three of which are waterpark industry firsts), the longest indoor action river in Texas, a children’s play area
that’s equipped with an aquatic fort, a double FlowRider® surfing simulator, a 45-game arcade, a café, full-service bar, private event space, table-service cabanas, and much more.
To learn more about Epic Waters, visit the park’s website or Facebook page.
If you have children or a lot of items to carry there may be a courtesy trolley operating in the parking lot when you arrive – feel free to hail it for a ride to the front door.
At the end of the night I sure wanted to ride the Trolley but David said he had parked close to the entrance and knowing I needed to get my steps in I was good and walked to our car.

Tips/ Facts:
I would like to let you know Epic Indoor WaterPark is available for birthday parties, church youth group events, overnight events, corporate events, etc.
Charlie is turning 11 this year and his Birthday is in December so it is hard to plan a Birthday Party for him. Although now, that I know I can host a party here I told David I wanted to see what Charlie thought and start saving money.
For the best time to visit Epic Indoor WaterPark I would suggest mid-week or before lunch during holidays and summer. To save time you can purchase tickets online in advance.
If your planning a Vacation then check out these facilities:
Other Epic Central Destinations:
• The Summit: A country-club styled recreation center for active adults 50 and over—known as
America’s first “Baby Boomer recreation facility.”
• The GrandLawn Amphitheater: Outdoor concert and event space adjacent to The Epic.
• PlayGrand Adventures: 10-acre ADA-accessible play space for children and adults of all abilities.
Phase One will open in the fall of 2019.
