A while back I was able to conduct a review for Empower on there 4 pound walking weights as I was wanting to lose weight. When I got the weights we were living in an apartment and I used the weights some but not as much as I should have. I even thought of giving them to my sister to use. Although, I decided I would keep them and I am so glad I did.
As you all know we are know in a trailer and we have a couple of parks at the end of our trailer park so I use the weights when I head out to walk. Since living in a circle which Charlie and I can walk around as it is a mile around it. I am glad I got the walking weights out to use as it helps me remember to move my arms when I am walking. By using the weights I am able to burn more calories then I would walking without the weights.
Charlie has even been asking for me to order a set of these weights for him so I went back to Empowers website site and I saw that they have a 2-pound size as well. So before school lets out I will be ordering the 2-pound set for Charlie as I want both of us to walk every day this Summer. This way Charlie keeps exercising each and every day.
I am hoping I can lose some of the 75 pounds I need to lose because if I do I will feel better and not hurt all the time. I will look better which will make me want to get out of the house more. Which would be a good thing because staying in the house all the time can lead me back into depression. Once I lose all the weight I need to lose then I will not feel so bad when I need to go shopping for the clothes I need and I will not have problems finding clothes that fit me and the clothes I liked will not look funny on me. Or when I need to take pictures for the blog I will not feel like I need to hide behind things.
More than that it will help my self-esteem help me with the depression I have been fighting. As I reach 50 this year it is time for me to take better care of myself and by shopping through Empower I will be able to as they carry everything we need to exercise and feel better.
The 4 pound weights come in purple which I like as that is my favorite color. I love the material they are covered in as it is soft and it is not slippery which would cause me to drop them. They are not to heavy which would bother my shoulder. I love how compact they are as they would fit in my gym bag and they are great for traveling.
There is a strap that fits on our hands which keeps the weights from slipping out of our hands. I like how well it fit mine then I had both David and Charlie try them on and they also fit them Knowing they fit a child is a plus as so many children are overweight that this would allow them to work out in a healthy non threatening way.
If I ever get a Treadmill which I would like to have I will be able to use these weights with them. I also can take the weights to the gym if I end up joining one.
