I wanted to share the last journal I was sent from Ellie Clair. Before I share my thoughts with you on The Illustrated Word I would like to let you know Ellie Clair sent me The Illustrated Word in exchange for a review but the thoughts in this review are mine and my families no, one else.
Charlie and I liked The Illustrated Word cover which has a orange binder. Charlie let me know if his sister Leslie saw The Illustrated Word Leslie would like to have The Illustrated Word because of the cover and the color orange. I agreed with Charlie and let him know I wasn’t giving The Illustrated Word to anyone until Christmas and even then I might not give The Illustrated Word away. I might keep The Illustrated Word for myself.
Charlie asked me why and I let him know I liked knowing The Illustrated Word is a Coloring Journal. Charlie and I spend a lot of time coloring together and this way we have a new book to color. I also let Charlie know The Illustrated Word is the perfect size to keep in our go to bag we keep in the car full of things to do when traveling.
I love that there are plenty of pages inside The Illustrated Word for us to document our thoughts. As I was browsing through The Illustrated Word I let Charlie know we could use this coloring journal to document the wonderful things our family encounters in 2019. Charlie agreed with me although Charlie says since we received The Illustrated Word in November we should start keeping notes this month.
As I thought about what Charlie said I had to agree with him because what better time to thank the Lord for the miracles in our lives than Thanksgiving? As well as sharing fun tidbits about all the wonderful attractions we visit during Christmas. Allowing Charlie to relieve what we did next year at Christmas.
Then Charlie and I browsed through The Illustrated Word. Charlie read the versus inside The Illustrated Word to us and we found quite a few versus we didn’t know that the Lord was sharing with us. The versus had meanings we family needed to hear. My favorite verse was “Trust in the LORD, and do GOOD”. Psalm 37:3 I loved knowing this verse came from the chapter of Psalms and so did Charlie.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
