Elementary Science Program – Pumpkin Science

The Mommies Reviews
It’s Tuesday, and time for science in our classroom. I would like to invite you to check into these Science Resources for Homeschooling. If you have used these Science resources in your classroom let me know what you thought of them and why. If you haven’t used these Science resources but would like to check into them, come let me know why as well.

Age Range: 6-14 (Grades 1-9, with parental supervision)
Elementary Science Program – Pumpkin Science you will find a free set of questions that lead to science investigations that you can easily do with pumpkins at home.
You will find experiments with seeds, pumpkin weight, and learn to determine how a pumpkin grew by the direction of the stem and other clues, experiments in volume, and more.

At the bottom of the list of questions are two links to websites where you can go to find the answers to all of the questions posed on the list. Some cannot be discovered through experimentation but must be found out through investigation on the Net.

One of the sites links to the terrific University of Illinois “Pumpkins and More” website with all kinds of information, resources, and activities for learning with pumpkins.
