#HomeschoolWithBoardGames Diggity Dog Games

Charlie, David and I all love DOGS, puppies, kittens or cats. This morning in our series on #HomeschoolWithBoardGames Diggity Dogs from  Educational Insights is a new Game we will be playing while studying pets in Homeschool.

Diggity Dogs™ Game

This morning before David left for work we all sat down to play Diggity Dog. Charlie, and I looked through the cards before we began to play because Charlie  wanted to see what breed of dogs they included in the Game.

I let Charlie know I liked Chole who looked like a Pekingese. Charlie loved Maggie a Golden Retriever. I told Charlie now he could look these dogs up on Google to find out more about them for Creative Writing.

Now that we’ve played Diggity Dogs I want to together a Lesson plan on Dogs. Charlie can research were dogs come from. Charlie can prepare a paper on how to take care of dogs.

Charlie said he could write out a report with facts on each dog from the game for his reading class. David said Charlie can draw the dogs and illustrate his favorite dog as well.

Have some furry, four-legged fun! Hot dog! It’s a game of furry, four-legged fun! Collect everything that dog needs then you will adopt the dog! Adopt the most dogs, and you win this preschool matching game. For 2-4 players.

Psst. They’re Learning!

  • Develops matching skills
  • Practices counting skills
  • Encourages social skills, turn-taking, and good sportsmanship

Even though Diggity Dogs is created for Pre-Schoolers  my family enjoyed playing and using the Game in our Homeschool Class. Were working on new ways to use the cards including playing war and helping my niece and nephew learn their letters, colors, and numbers.
