Educational Delights

Review

I hope you enjoy these three reviews I’m conducting for Educational Delights.  They sent me the following toys to review. Diggity Dogs,  Kitten Caboodle and Design & Drill® for Charlie.

I would like to let you know that the toys we received were free in exchange for the reviews Charlie and I are conducting and the thoughts in these reviews are all Charles and mine.

Charlie and I love dogs. I knew Charlie would enjoy Diggity Dogs because its about puppies. I liked knowing this game comes with cards because I’ve been teaching Charlie different card games and the right way to hold the cards.

Diggity Dogs gave me the opportunity to work on these issues with Charlie. I would like to let you know Diggity Dogs reminded me of Goldfish and a Card Gam called Concentration which Charlie and I play a lot.

Charlie struggles with his reading and I was able to let Charlie read the cards. Allowing Charlie to read has helped him become more confident. Diggity Dogs has taught Charlie the things he will need to care for his dogs teaching him how to take care of the  three puppies he owns on his own.

To make Diggity Dog more fun Charlie and I  looked up each of the puppies online. Then we went over facts about the puppies which helped with Charlie’s reading.

Then we sat down and drew the dogs to help Charlie practice drawing. Once we were down with Art, we wrote a story about each of the puppies in the game because I wanted to show Charlie you can do more with a game than what it says.

Charlie’s friend AJ is going to be homeschooling next year, and I showed his mom the things Charlie and I did with Diggity Dogs . Marie has said she will purchase Diggity Dogs for her classroom as well.

Sherry Charlie’s grandmother will be purchasing Diggity Dogs for her home and the grand kids to play. I believe if other teachers or homeschooling parents knew about Diggity Dogs they could do the things we did and I’m sure they could come up with even more ways to use Diggity Dogs.

Diggity Dogs says it’s for children who are 4 and up and  2 to 4 players. I’m sure a child of any age would be able to play Diggity Dogs as long as they had an adult help them.

Kitten Caboodle

Educational Insights Kitten Caboodle Game

The second game Charlie and I were sent was Kitten Caboodle. Charlie and I both loved I loved the box                           Kitten Caboodle. comes in as it makes storing the game easy. I also like the picture of the kitten on the front of Kitten Caboodle as I have always wanted a Siamese kitten. The colors on the cover of Kitten Caboodle.box pop. Charlie says the box makes you want to play Kitten Caboodle. and to have your friends play as well. I loved knowing                         Kitten Caboodle has directions. I had Charlie sit down with me to read the directions and the directions too hard for Charlie to read or for Charlie to understand. Allowing Charlie to feel good about himself.

Once we started playing  Kitten Caboodle, Charlie got so excited he didn’t ask to watch TV or to play his Playstation 3. For our family this was a huge plus. I hate knowing all Charlie wants to do is get on his Game System. Charlie even wondered if he would be able to get some of his friends to come in and play Kitten Caboodle which I said he could. Once they all came in and I showed them how to play Kitten Caboodle they didn’t want to quit. I wish you could have seen them as they had so much fun.

I did the same things with Kitten Caboodle that did with Diggity Dog to build more interest in the game. I am glad I did as Charlie ask to play Kitten Caboodle with his friends as well. The beautiful part is even Charlie’s dad sits down and plays with us. I can tell you both these games will be joining our Family Game Nite we have each week.  know they will be some of our favorite games to play.

Educational Insights Design & Drill See-Through Creative Workshop

The last item Charlie received was Design & Drill®.  I knew  Design & Drill® would be a massive hit as Charlie loves taking things apart and putting them back together again. Charlie has been asking for tools of his own. Once Charlie gets used to  Design & Drill®and how  Design & Drill® work I will purchase tools for Charlie. Once  Design & Drill® arrived Charlie and I sat down and looked through the box and read all it said and Charlie was able to read the instructions all by himself.

I asked what Charlie what he liked about Design & Drill , and Charlie says that there are 4 different projects to create. For me, I liked knowing Charlie wouldn’t need batteries with Design & Drill®. Saving us money which I love and this means  Design & Drill® will always work not like the toys which use batteries.

I love knowing  Design & Drill® makes a noise like the tools Charlie’s dad and grandpa use. This makes Charlie feel like he is really working like his dad. We liked the colors Design & Drill® comes in as well as the different shapes. Charlie loved the Robot and Race Car. David liked the Rocket, and I wanted to make the boat because I love water. Knowing there are 4 different projects to create allowed us all to play together which I like. Because I have wanted David and Charlie to spend more time together.

I like that the pieces are big and comfortable to see as they will not get lost like a lot of the toys Charlie has. Charlie can play with Design & Drill® inside or outside. Charlie can even put  Design & Drill® in his bag and take it with us when I have to go to work with me to give Charlie something to do.
