Easter Gift Guide 2023: Easter Gifts for Boys & Girls

The Mommies Reviews

My mother n law Sherry is hosting her annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday for all the children in the family. This means Leslie will be there with Eligah David’s grandson and his niece Alex and her passel of kids. Along with Charlie and if we niece Lily and Jason didn’t have anywhere to go they would have been invited.

Knowing Granny Sherry, I know all of the kids will get plenty of candy. Then there parents may host Easter Egg Hunts or take them on Community Easter Egg Hunts. I’ve decided I’m going to purchase a Easter Book for each of the kids to put inside there Easter Baskets but the books are to stay at Granny’s then the book will not get torn up. As I put the list of books together, I even found a couple books about Easter Charlie might like. Can you guess which books will be in Charlie’s Easter Basket?

Annie the Wannabe Easter Owl: Book 1 in the Annie the Owl Series Book 1 of 1: Annie the Owl

Teach your child the power of self-acceptance and embracing their unique qualities with “Annie the Wannabe Easter Owl,” a charming, rhyming, heartwarming story perfect for social and emotional learning (SEL).

Annie the Wannabe Easter Owl is a charming and heartwarming story about Annie, a young owl who feels perfectly fine about herself until Easter approaches. She starts to dream of being pink like the bunny or fluffy like the chick. She could wear wooly feathers and be like a lamb, or maybe even go green easter grass glam! She could even develop a brand-new habit and make use of her time by helping the rabbit!

Annie gets so excited that she can’t decide who or what she should be. She wants to be loved as much as her Easter friends, so she turns to Wise Owl for help. After humorously showing her how confusing it can be to try to be everyone else, Wise Owl lovingly helps Annie see that,

The very best thing you could ever be…
and the very best thing you could ever do…
Is Be Who You Are!
Sweet Wonderful You!

Annie realizes that she loves being an owl after all and encourages young readers to love and accept themselves. Included is a surprise visit from one of Annie’s friends and a little Optional Wise Owl “Fun-Work” at the end that encourages kids to think about why they are happy to be themselves.

Teach your children the power of Self-Acceptance & Self-Love

In a world that often emphasizes conformity, it’s important for children to learn early in life that it’s not only okay but wonderful to be different and to embrace their individuality. By watching Annie’s journey of self-discovery, your child will learn that the most important thing they can be is themselves.

Research and common sense demonstrate that children who love and accept themselves are more likely to have healthy relationships, exhibit positive coping skills when faced with challenges, and have greater overall life satisfaction.

An awesome social-emotional learning (SEL) book for raising children who love and accept their uniqueness

This delightful rhyming tale with captivating (and often humorous) illustrations will take your child on a journey of self-awareness and help them understand that being yourself is a wonderful thing to be! Your child can empathize with Annie’s confusion and urgency as she tries to figure out who she should be. Then they’ll feel the relief, peace, and happiness that come when she learns to love herself. The book is a celebration of diversity as well as the power of positive relationships and responsible decision-making.

A Wise and Adorable Role Model Who Teaches by Example

Annie the Wannabe Easter Owl is not just a story but a valuable teaching tool for parents and educators who want to instill the values of self-love and acceptance in children. The book provides children with positive examples of how to handle difficult situations, like feeling left out or wishing to be someone else. Annie will teach your child, by example, to embrace diversity, love being themselves, and manage strong emotions in a positive way.

Optional Wise Owl Exercise to Promote Self Love

An optional exercise is included in the book for children to list all they love about being themselves, fostering self-confidence and self-esteem.

This book is intended for children aged 3-6 years old and is perfect for parents, teachers, and anyone else who works with children.

The positive message and adorable illustrations will delight the inner child in those of all ages!

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
