Charlie has changed from collecting, eating and watching Wrestling to Basketball and also added Dragon Ball Z to what he wants to collect. The kids in the neighborhood play Dragon Ball Z online with Charlie on his PS1. For our #Homeschool Reading Class Charlie has even been reading Dragon Ball Z books.
For Christmas my nephew and his family gave Charlie a Dragon Ball Z model from a Hobby Store they went to purchase Gifts at. Once Charlie opened the Gift Charlie let me know Hobby Lobby carried the models because he had seen them with David when we were looking for Christmas Ornaments during the Holidays.
Then the other day we went into Hobby Lobby so I could look at the Christmas clearance while there we went to look at the Models and Charlie found another Dragon Ball Z Model he didn’t have. As we got ready to walk out the door Charlie noticed a sign that the models were on sale for 50% off.
I told Charlie to go and get the model while it was on sale and that this would be an early Valentine’s Day Gift for Charlie as we can use the Models not only in our Art Class for Homeschooling but for our Reading class as well because Charlie has to read the instructions.
Charlie now has two models Super Saiyan God Son Goku Model Kit and Super Saiyan God Vegeta Model Kit we found at Hobby Lobby. If you watch sales, you may be able to find there on for half-price which we did. Making the Valentine’s Day Gifts under $10 as we paid $7.99 a piece for these models and yes, they will keep children busy for a little while
I would like to let you know Charlie surprised me when we got home, and Charlie got out both Models and by himself put them together. Charlie didn’t even move until he finished staying focused on the task which doesn’t usually happen making models the perfect way for Charlie to manage his ADHD.
Even though Charlie had the instructions laid out he didn’t use them when putting the models together. Charlie used his imagination and worked through how they should look when he finished. Charlie did get stuck once or twice and instead of getting mad and quitting Charlie asked David for help.
Once David finished answering Charlie’s question Charlie sent David on his way and finishes putting both models together on his own. Now they are set up on a shelf so no, one can bother them and were looking for more models for Charlie.
Charlies homeschool comes with a Mascot Bear Charlie’s dog who will not leave his side and don’t even nudge Charlie when he is working. Keeping Charlie more focused on the task. I’m beginning to think we need to work on making Bear a Emotional Support Dog.
After Charlie finished the models, I had to run to Walmart for groceries and while there David said he wanted to go look at the movies. While Charlie and David were looking, I finished my grocery shopping and went to look for a book. While I was looking Charlie came and showed me these movies from Dragon Ball Z which I have added to our Gift Giving List this year.
