I was putting together our Homeschooling with Board Games: Domino Junior Friends for Charlie to use in our Homeschooling.Charlie reminded me he would like to learn more about Dinosaurs.
Charlie and I looked through Domino Friends Junior which comes fromGoliath Games.. Children from 4 and up can play which will give my niece Lily and my nephew Jason a game to play when the come to visit.
Charlie will be able to practice building things with the Dominoes helping Charlie remain focused at all times. We can use Domino Friends Junior in Math by counting how many Dominoes of each color there is.
Or how many Dominoes a certain number of players would get. Or even multiplication and division. Charlie said he can even show me Fractions using the Dominoes.
We can make up stories using the Dinosaurs inside Domino Friends Junior for our Reading class, Language Arts and Reading. For Vocabulary we can look up words we find in the instructions.
The words Charlie doesn’t know can be turned into a Spelling List one day then the next day they can use the words in a sentence on the third day write the words in ABC order and write the definitions in there spelling book.
On Friday they can take a Spelling Test using the words from there list. If they miss more than 4 words on Monday have them retake the test. If they still miss four or more words continue with this list throughout the week.
If they pass the test move onto this weeks Spelling and Lesson Plans.
David said we could even use Domino Friends Junior to create a Scavenger Hunt. Or we could hide the Dominoes from Charlie. Then we could allow Charlie to go digging for the Dinosaurs.
Once Charlie has found all of the Dominoes we can make fun snacks with the Dominoes. Or we can find Dino Cookie Cutters and make cookies and sandwiches for lunch.
I also reminded Charlie we can use Domino Friends Junior in our Art class and Music class. I could see us walking like a Dinosaur and making noises we think they would make.
Once we finish we can play Domino Friends Junior which will be a lot of fun. I know once Charlie share Domino Friends Junior with his friends that they will ask there parents for a Game as well.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
