When Charlie was born David was working for ATS Drilling rebuilding oil rigs and Charlie always asked to go to work with his dad. Although for safety issues he couldn’t go. So as soon as I found this new Virtual Field Trip I knew it would be something both Charlie and David would enjoy a lot. Part of the larger Discover Petroleum site from ExxonMobil, take virtual tours of an oil refinery and drilling platform in the UK.
Our first stop is the oil refinery. Select the “The Fawley tour” link. After reading through the introduction, begin the tour by either clicking the arrow at the top of the page to “start tour” or selecting the text link in the introduction box. Use your mouse to zoom around the 360° image and learn about the location and the refining process with the informational text to the left of the image. Locations visitors will see include:
