Once we were able to get Charlie through walking around and checking out all the different attractions in the Plaza Tent we went inside the Perot Museum and ventured by the Café which was full of families enjoying snacks and lunches fit for a king. They had a lot of Dinosaur lunch kits done. If you purchased a kids meal you could get a Dinosaur mask with your meal.
David and I asked Charlie if he wanted to have lunch in the Café since we hadn’t eaten inside there before and Charlie reminded me they were taking me across the street to El Fenix as it is one of my favorite restaurants. Once again I could tell how much my family loves me and they made me feel so special. It turned our day into the perfect outing.
Here are the activities you would been able to participate in on Level One
Dinosaur Digs
For Charlie and I Dinosaur Digs was a lot of fun and we loved discovering the Fossils in the sand and I plan on setting up a section like this in our yard when we begin our Dinosaur Unit Studies we plan on doing. It was neat seeing they used Paint Brushes so the Fossils weren’t hurt and we can pick item up at our local Dollar Store such as shells, and small dinosaurs to hide for Charlie to dig up.
T. Rex Sports Challenges
T. Rex sports challenges is something Charlie and I missed and I am not sure how we missed this attraction. Especially with Charlie and David loving sports. Which means we were having so much fun we didn’t have time to do everything which was ok. Because we can put together a Dinosaur Olympics to use in our Homeschool Unit Studies.
CASAsaurus
CASAsaurus set up a table for charity for children’s abuse and Charlie picked up a pin to give to his friend Troy who we believe is abused by his step-mom and brother. Charlie let me know he would like to look CASAsaurus online and see if they take online donations since we didn’t bring extra money with us and weren’t able to purchase one of the dinosaurs. CASAsaurus had for sale and when you purchased one they donated the second one to a child in need.
There were also Dino-Fest Tote Bags Charlie and I would have liked to purchase but we wanted to save the little bit of money we did have to purchase a bottle of water later in the day. So I would like to share a tip with you if you attend the event you might want to bring a little money with you as there is so much to purchase both inside and outside the Gift Shop which Charlie and I forget to check out as it was so full we wanted to come back when it is less busy so we can take our time looking around.
Dinosaur Face Painting
Dinosaur Face Painting was another table we missed although I can remember in the past where Face Painting would have been one of the first places Charlie would have asked to visit. Although now that he is older there are times Charlie doesn’t want to paint his face. So it would have been nice to see what Charlie decided to do yesterday.
This week I think Charlie and I will add Face Painting to our Homeschool Lessons and we can paint each others faces. I wonder if we could paint David’s while he is sleeping because when he is awake he will not let us paint his face or color his hair. David is a sour puss when it comes to the things Charlie and I do. But we still love David most of the time.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
