I’m excited to let you know I was able to get in my 7500 steps in Age Disruptors Perimenopause-Menopause Support & Solutions. Once again it was a challenge. To begin my walk Deborah kay Ice, David and I went to Walmart on Rufe Snow. Because I left later we weren’t able to walk as much as I had planned.
While in Walmart we ran into a friend Roger Paschal who we hadn’t seen in years. We was able to chat for a few moments and catch up. Roger introduced us to his wife. David check out the Valentine items I had picked up. Then we walked out to the car. Let me tell you I didn’t get many steps at all.
We came home and check on Charlie who was supposed to go to lunch with us at Clown Hamburger which was hosting there Grand Opening. Charlie asked me to bring him his lunch back home. Which I agreed to. I jumped on Facebook real quick to take messages which I am glad I did. My mom’s Cousin David who we hardly see let us know we would meet him at the restaurant for lunch.
After lunch we came home and David said he needed to run to the little Walmart to pick up a few things. Debbie and I decided to go with him. Then we could get in a few more steps. We got to Walmart David went to get what he needed while Debbie and I walked around the store. No, I still didn’t have 7500 steps.
David came and found us and they didn’t have what he wanted. Off to Kroger’s we went. Debbie and I went inside so I could pick up a couple things I needed as well. We did walk some but not enough. As we was living my dad’s friends wife Jane was entering the store and we visited for a few minutes which was nice. As she asked for Prayers and we found out her sister had passed and she is alone now. We know to check on her at least once a week.
Then we walked over to Family Dollar to meet David and I picked up more Valentines Day decorations and walked through the store a bit. By now you would have thought I would have had my 7500 steps but no, that wasn’t the case. On our way home we stopped at QT for drinks. Into this store we went as well to walk.
Debbie, David and I came home. David came inside to get off his knee. Debbie and I walked around the apartment complex. By the time we got back to the door Alyssa was calling Debbie to come get her. Before you ask no, I still didn’t have all my steps in. Man oh man I am not going to ever make it today.
With Debbie gone and David working on the house I sat down to work. I must admit I got distracted and forgot to walk or even drink the water I should have been drinking. Finally it’s 5pm and I still need steps. Diner is done so we sit down to eat. Then I head out on a fast walk with Pheobie. I come back inside and no, I still need steps.
It’s 7pm now. David and I are watching a movie and I still need 2500 steps. We turn the movie off and David heads to him moms to take the car. While he is going I head outside to finish my walking. Charlie gives me orders of how long I can be outside because its getting dark. As well as were I can and can’t walk.
I grab Pheobie and off we go. Up and down in front of our apartment isn’t getting me the steps I need. I come inside and grab Annie and off we go further down in front of the other building and back. Thank the LORD I only need 500 more steps. I come back inside the house and have 15 minutes left before we are to record our steps for the day. Through the LORDS help and perseverance I made it. I got my steps in.
Today its just Charlie and I and it looks like its going to rain. What I plan on is going to walk with Debbie when she gets off which will give me a full hour of walking before she has to pick up my niece and nephew. Lord willing if we go to Walmart and walk each and every aisle we can get in 6,000 steps which is still short.
Leaving me with 1500 steps but taking the dogs inside and out will allow me to know out those last steps in no, time. As well as making dinner and picking up the house. I know through the LORD each and every day of this challenge will get easier and I can and will get my steps in as long as I didn’t give up. If I don’t its okay as there is always tomorrow.
Day 1
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
