Day #14 A Song I Would Have Liked Played At My Wedding

The Mommies Reviews

Day #14 A Song I Would Have Liked Played At My Wedding is a song I would have liked played at my Wedding. But even though I’ve been married three times. Yes, three times….

I never had Anne Murray’s song Could I Have This Dance For The Rest of My Life Played at my Wedding because the guys didn’t want this song played. If David and I have our Vows renewed this song is going to be played. Come HELL OR HIGH WATER. Katy bar the door.

Could I Have This Dance” is a song recorded by the Canadian country music artist Anne Murray. It was used in the 1980 film Urban Cowboy and appeared on both the soundtrack album for that film, as well as on the Anne Murray’s Greatest Hits compilation album, issued in late 1980.

As a single, it was released in August 1980 and became Murray’s fifth number one country hit as a solo artist. It went to number one for one week and spent a total of ten weeks on the country chart.[1] “Could I Have This Dance” was also Murray’s tenth Top 40 on the U.S. pop singles chart, peaking at number 33.[2] The song was written by Wayland Holyfield and Bob House.

Lyrics:

I’ll always remember the song they were playin’
The first time we danced and I knew
As we swayed to the music and held to each other
I fell in love with you Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?
When we’re together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life? I’ll always remember that magic moment
When I held you close to me
As we moved together, I knew forever
You’re all I’ll ever need Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?
When we’re together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life? Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?
When we’re together it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?Source:
