Day 12 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge

Welcome to Day 12 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge for October!

Thank you Jesus I think as David is off this morning and I am Praying he can take my dad off my hands for a bit. Although it might be harder having him home and handling dad on my own. So Please Please Please say a Pray for me this morning that today goes smoothly as he returns home on Saturday. So just one more day thank you Jesus.

Ever get a song stuck in your head? Or do you have a favorite song lyric? How about a motto or creed that you live by (like, “Every Day Counts,” or “There is no failure, only lessons.”)

For me there are two songs and the first one is Rachel Platten and her song called “This Is My Fight Song” Take Back My Life Song and I wish I had knew about it when Suzzane was killed as this is how I felt. I had to take back my life and move forward. So this song has become something I listen to almost everyday and as I listen it I can hear myself telling my self to take back my life because I have a lot of fight left in me and I can do anything I wan’t as long as I don’t give up.

The second song is by Helen Reedy I Am Women and it was in the movie Sex and The City 2 and yes, I am Women and yes, you can hear me Roar if you listen real close. Especially if someone is missing with my children, family pets, or even my business. So this morning as my son in law goes into Surgery I am here and I am going to be strong as I know he will be okay.

I have a question for you have you heard of either of these songs and if so what do you think of them and why?

Do either of these songs fit your life and if so why and if not why not? Is there another song or movie you use to keep you on track? Can you share it with us this morning?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

  1. Beautiful songs, my thoughts are with you.

Thank you for sharing, I hope it eases your burden in some small way. I lost my baby daughter many years ago and the pain is there but is bearable and somehow helps with new burdens.

    God Bless
