Good morning. How are you? On May 1st when the song of the day challenge began we was asked to share a song with a color in the title. Going though my site this morning I couldn’t share the post.
I couldn’t find it I decided to go ahead and share a new post with you. I thought about a song with colors in the title many came to mind. But I knew right away what I wanted to share.
I could share Purple Rain from Prince, or Itty Bitty Yellow Polka Dot Bikini but I wanted to share a song by the King. Elvis Presley Blue Suede Shoes.
A song from my favorite singer of all times. I would like to let you know one of my dreams was attending a concert of Elvis which never happened because I was a young girl when Elvis passed away.

“Blue Suede Shoes” is a rock-and-roll standard written and first recorded by Carl Perkins in 1955. It is considered one of the first rockabilly records, incorporating elements of blues, country, and pop music of the time. Perkins’ original version of the song was on the Cashbox Best Selling Singles list for 16 weeks and spent two weeks in the number two position.[1]
Elvis Presley recorded “Blue Suede Shoes” in 1956 and it appears as the opening track of his debut album Elvis Presley (1956). Presley performed his version of the song three different times on national television. It was also recorded by Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran, among many others.
Lyrics:
Well, it’s one for the money
Two for the show
Three to get ready
Now go, cat, goBut don’t you
Step on my blue suede shoes
Well you can do anything
But stay off of my blue suede shoesWell, you can knock me down
Step in my face
Slander my name all over the place
Well do anything that you want to do
But uh-uh, honey lay off of them shoesAnd don’t you step on my blue suede shoes
Well, you can do anything
But stay off of my blue suede shoesLet’s go, cat!
Ah, walk the dogYou can burn my house
Steal my car
Drink my liquor
From an old fruit jar
Well do anything that you want to do
But uh-uh, honey lay off of my shoesAnd don’t you
Step on my blue suede shoes
Well, you can do anything
But stay off of my blue suede shoesRock it
YeahWell, it’s one for the money
Two for the show
Three to get ready
Now go, go, go!But don’t you
Step on my blue suede shoes
Well, you can do anything
But stay off of my blue suede shoesWell, it’s
Blue, blue
Blue suede shoes
Blue, blue
Blue suede shoes, yeah!
Blue, blue
Blue, suede shoes, baby
Blue, blue
Blue suede shoes
Well, you can do anything
But stay off of my blue suede shoesSource: LyricFindSongwriters: Carl PerkinsBlue Suede Shoes lyrics © Kobalt Music Publishing Ltd.Available on
