David, Charlie and I Visit Taste Addison!

With Summer here I knew I wanted to make it as memorable as I could for our family by finding new and unique events to attend. Although I knew it would be hard to do as we were on a tight budget. When an email arrived, and it was an invitation to participate in the Taste Addison. I knew all three of us would enjoy attending the Taste Addison if David could get the day off to go with Charlie and me.

I sent an email back letting them know we would love to attend and to share the Press Release not only with my readers but also my friends and family. Once David came in from work I shared the event with him, and I explained what it was and why I would like to attend. As we were talking David mentioned it would be a fantastic event for Charlie to use for Homeschooling.

As I was walking around getting the items together I knew we would need to take with us I realized David was right. Charlie could read the directions on how to get to the event to David. He could calculate how long it would take to get to the festival. Then Charlie could research Addison and share fun facts and exciting places to visit with Charlie and me.

Once we arrived and began to walk around all three of us was amazed at all the new and different restaurants that had a booth at the event. There was so many David and I hadn’t heard of and have made plans to visit in the Future. We love trying out new places and different types of food.

Included in our tickets were the following items free samples at the craft beer hall & wine garden, all of the concerts, free samples from each chef demo, free face painting, and free painting classes with Pinot’s Palette. Check out the schedule of all activities here. Both Charlie and David was amazed we were able to do all of the items included in the email. I think we could have spent the entire weekend and not do all we would have liked to do.

Besides the food they were serving I loved listening to the music, and it was fun walking around with Charlie and David and listening to the music and hearing Charlie tell us which songs were playing which meant Charlie even completed a music class just through attending the event.

There was a Vendor area, and we were able to see a lot of Vendors items they created and had for sale. I enjoyed walking through the booths and seeing some of them I recognized from Facebook. Charlie found quite a few products he wanted to purchase although we didn’t want which means I have things I can buy Charlie for Christmas he will not be expecting.

Charlie and I had fun looking at all the different foods they had to offer, and we found several recipes we want to try and make ourselves which will allow Charlie to add a cooking class to his classroom and would enable us to eat at home more often and to find healthier foods than we usually eat.

David also enjoyed walking around with us and he enjoyed seeing all the Booths with the different Beers they had for sale. David surprised me as he found some new dishes he wanted to taste that I wouldn’t have thought he would like. Also, I could tell he was, enjoying the music and he even asked to sit and listen to it for a while.

Charlie had a wonderful time, and he enjoyed free face painting, and free painting classes with Pinot’s Palette and was excellent as it allowed Charlie to get into an Art class for the week. I loved seeing Charlie laugh and smile and dance through the event as he hadn’t done that in a while.

If it is the Lords will I Pray my family can attend this event next year and to work with Addison in the future as Charlie, David and I can’t wait to go back and explore the town and visit the restaurants that were at the event. As well as contacting the Vendors to see what all they had for sale that they didn’t bring with them.
