I received a copy of the children’s book Dash and Nikki and the Jelly Bean Game published by Anthony C. Delauney in exchange for this review and a spot in our Christmas Gift Guide: Books for Children.
I sat down one evening to read the book while Charlie was outside playing and when Charlie came inside I had him sit down to read Dash and Nikki and the Jelly Bean Game. As he did Charlie’s eyes got bigger and bigger and asked if we could play the Game the next time Lily and Jason came to visit.
Instead of using Jelly Beans which none of the kids like were going to use M&M’s or Skittles or to make the game even more fun we might mix the treats and see how long the kids can go without eating the snacks. As well as seeing how well Charlie and David can get along.
Welcome, kids of all ages, to The Jellybean Game! Dash and his sister, Nikki, are so glad that you came. Discover what awaits―there are surprises in store: candy, competition, and a little something more! Join in the excitement as they challenge one another, and learn a life lesson that’s unlike any other.
“An interactive, vivid, and enjoyable tale of sibling collaboration.” — Kirkus Reviews
